2010 MIAA ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT MANILA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT FOR CY 2010 A. Financial Highlights We are pleased to report the results of our operation and financial condition for the period ended December 31, 2010 compared with the same period to 2009, Gross Revenue is Php 7.89 billion, up by Php 524 million or 7.7%. From this amount, Php 893 million will go to the National Government. On the other hand, Operating Expenses is Php 4.9 billion down by Php 153 million or negative 3%. Net Income from Operations is Php 2 billion, higher by Php 623 million or 43%. Therefore, the Authority incurred a total Net Income After Tax of Php 540 billion in 2010 lower by Php 202 million or 27% compared to 2009. Operational Highlights On NAIA operations, looking at comparative statistical data in NAIA Traffic for 2010 and the same period of 2009, flight movement registered increase of 4.49% from 225,863 to 235,995. Terminal 2 is handling the international and domestic passenger. It handled 3.6 million international passengers in 2010 compared to 3.2 million passengers in 2009. For domestic operation, handled 5.2 million passengers in 2010 compared to 5.3 million passengers in 2009. Terminal 3 is also handling international and domestic operation. It handled 1.3 million international passengers for 2010 compared to 1 million passengers in 2009. For domestic passenger movement handled 8.1 million in 2010 compared to 6.3 million passengers in 2009. Terminal 4 handled 1.3 million domestic passengers in 2010 compared to 1 million passenger movement in 2009. C. Safety and Security The priority concern of the Authority and of the whole industry to have recognized the magnitude of risks that it has to deal with and it responded on this through the following projects and program: 1. Projects Completed construction of Pass Control Satellite Office, Teller Booth and Parking Area at Delta Gate, General Aviation Area to enhance access measures, facilitate issuance access pass/ID and provide vehicle parking space to General Aviation employees/tenants. Increased capability in Aircraft Recovery Operations with the acquisition of new Aircraft Lifting bag for RFD. Completed upgrading of Two (2) units EDS Screening Equipment at T3 to comply with ICAO 100% Hold Baggage Screening. 2 2010 MIAA ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT Procured advanced equipment for effective and efficient screening operations at NAIA Terminals. Australian OTS Security Evaluation Team finding favorable security arrangements at NAIA which are appropriate for the location/environment and generally consistent with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices. Conducted Table Top Crash Rescue Exercise Completed the conduct of Airport Security Awareness Seminar for 8,912 airport employees in compliance to ICAO & MIAA ASP. 2.
