Treasurer's Report - Jenni Cheff
o Student store +$173.52
o Spirit wear +$383.40
o MCT cost a total of $49.86 so far; DVD sales still coming in
o Total bank account is at $5,962.52 to date, everything is current.
III. Student Council Update-Connie Warner
o New reps were elected and are jumping right in.
o Sign ups for student store – still need more parent volunteers in mornings.
o Plan on selling pickles in March. Jenny Vw going to check into purchasing them
[Glacier Wholesale sells them for $6.78/gallon, they keep them in stock so we
should have no trouble getting them when we’re ready to sell.]
IV. Technology Update – Amy Sempf & Connie Warner
o Technology goal = purchasing two sets of ipads; 10 iPads and MacBook pro for
$7,000, includes a rolling cart
o Grants? Plumcreek grants? Apple? Amy Sempf doing some checking. [Does anyone
have any other ideas for grants? Please feel free to research it yourself or forward
the info to PTO.]

Artist in Residence – Teresa Tekulve
o African Dance Specialist- Leslie
o Agreed to do it again this Spring
o This year will have a new dance/new art
o Date??? We need to determine date. Teresa to follow up with Leslie. [Depending on
date, maybe kids could perform at the Talent Show too?]
VI. Dragon Dragon Puppet Show by Sherry Johns
o We are interested in supporting it. Dates? [Waiting to hear back on possible date in
March/April]
o Should we postpone for fall for bully program installation?? [No]
o Checking & reporting back
VII. Spring Community Event---Ruder Family Reading Night; March 16th, 6-8pm
o Betsy Kohnstamm to coordinate teachers who will be in charge of
rooms/activities/planning.
o PTO jobs to complete:
o Volunteers – will need parent volunteers for variety of jobs
o Will raffle off backpacks with books in them during event
o Refreshments: cookies, drinks, popcorn? St. Pat's food?

VIII. Missoula Children's Theater Review
o How did it go? GREAT! We just about broke even and DVD sales are still trickling in.
o Ways to improve? Have a sign up sheet for parents to sign up on Monday night after
auditions…everything else went very well. Jenny vW will write up overview for next
year.
o Jenny Vw will complete thank you’s.
o PTO would like to go it again next year; going to book it!
IX. Fundraising
o Artwork Fundraiser
o Artwork is done. Thank you teachers…it looked wonderful!
o Artwork sent in, will get prints/order forms/originals back early March
o Box Tops/Capri Suns: collection is going well, ice-cream parties are a hit! Won’t
know how much we’ve earned until the end of the year when everything is sent in
together.
o Talent Show
o PTO needs to make signs this month – Jenny vW & Gina Thomas
o We are planning on selling DVDs for $10. Amy Sempf going to check with Rob
Dewbre as he did a great job with the MCT video in the past.
o Yearbook Updates
o PTO voted to move ahead with this.
o Cost is about $800-$1000 depending on how many pages we need. Which works
out to be about $3/piece. We will sell them for $5/piece.
o Need to get a group picture of teachers when Swan Lake is here for class pictures,
Feb. 17.
o We will devote our attention to yearbooks after talent show is complete,
turnaround time is short.

XI. 5th Grade Gathering/Ruder & Glacier Gateway....we love it!
