The 57th Annual Topanga Banjo•Fiddle Contest Entry Form
Registration Open from February 1 through April 15, 2017



$20 entry fee per entrant, backup musician or band member
Entry fee includes ALL appearances and gate admission
Each entrant may compete in up to two instrument categories,
space permitting (use 2 forms & indicate 1st choice)
Entrants in instrument categories may also request to compete
in Singing - but must first compete in AM preliminary Singing
competition (See website for rules!)
Backup players may back up any number of players but will be
judged only once (specify which performance to be judged)
Instrument competition level is based on ability rather than age







Bands and Singing entries must first compete in morning
preliminary competitions
Playing or singing one selection must not exceed 3 minutes
Bands are required to perform 2 selections: One instrumental
& one with vocals for a combined time not to exceed 6 minutes
All time limits will be strictly enforced. Time begins when
contestant takes the microphone and includes introductions
No electrified instruments
Fiddle contestants may not have another fiddle on stage
Backup players are only judged on the Main Stage
