Introduction
From inception God designed man to live a life
that is totally satisfying, full and refreshing in all
areas of life Genesis 2:8-17. That was why there
was also a river that had 4 parts to water the
garden not forest where God place man.
“God placed man in the garden so that his life

Refreshing (adjective) means pleasantly new, different,
or interesting, making you feel more rested, having a
renewing effect on the state of the body or mind e.g the
cool wind of the ocean is refreshing on such a hot day
Synonyms: Cordial, reinvigorating, rejuvenating,
restorative, reviving, stimulating, revitalizing, energetic,
cheer, regain, repair, resuscitate, reviving, recuperate, lifegiving, strengthening, exhilarating, sharp, modernizing,
rectifying, reformatory, healthy, wholesome, inspirit,
quickening.
That is what Jesus came to do in
John 10:10

Causes Of Dryness
• SERVICE (labor, work, inputs, activities, contributions,
efforts John 4:1-7, 31, Adam was meant to be working in
the garden so he would have been tired Genesis 2:15 and
hence needs to be refreshed.
“Your body, soul & mind need to be serviced the way you
service your equipment so that you can be fully sustained
and strengthened” RSD
• SIN (Transgression, wrong doing, law-breaking,
immorality, misconduct, illegality, corruption, disobedience
Deut 28:23-24, Acts 3:19. “Sin causes you separation from
God’s suppies and source, leaving you with a life full of
struggles without substantial success” RSD. Genesis 3:124.

Why You Need To Be Refreshed
• RESTORED (renew, recharge, and refresh). To bring to former
condition or vigor. Batteries are to be recharged.
“The way batteries are recharged for effectiveness , continuity and functionality
is the same way man needs to be restored for optimum capacity” RSD. Isaiah
40:31.
• RELEASE OF FULL POTENTIAL.
1Kings 19:1-18. God desires
that each one of us fully fulfills his/her assignments here on earth like Jesus
John 17:4 MSG. I glorified you on earth by completing down to the last detail
what you assigned me to do. It is quite unfortunate that most people don’t
like Elijah, Samson etc. Colossians 4:17.
“It takes a fully refreshed person to totally and maximally fulfill
purpose” RSD.
“Life is not measured by income but by inputs and impacts, not by
consumption but by contribution & completion of your
assignments” RSD

SOME STRATEGIES OF STAYING
REFRESHED.
Presence Of God
Acts 3:19. So repent (change your mind and purpose); turn around and return
[to God], that your sins may be erased (blotted out, wiped clean), that times
of refreshing (of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air)
may come from the presence of the Lord; AMP.
“Everything you need to stay refreshed is present in God’s presence” RSD
Psalm 16:11, 23:1-6 AMP. Genesis 3:8, Numbers 17:4,7-8, Deuteronomy 34:7.
Exodus 33: 13-14. Ps 27:4 One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek,
inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
[in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty
[the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to
meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple. [Ps 16:11; 18:6; 65:4; Luke
2:37.]8 You have said, Seek My face [inquire for and require My presence as
your vital need]. My heart says to You, Your face (Your presence), Lord, will I
seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your
Word]. AMP

survive outside God’s presence” RSD

Productivity
(Fruitfulness, soul winning) John 15:1-8 I AM the True Vine, and
My Father is the Vinedresser. Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that
stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and
repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear
more and richer and more excellent fruit. You are cleansed and pruned
already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have
discussed with you]. 4 Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I
will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in
(being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide
in Me. 5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in
him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital
union with Me] you can do nothing. 6 If a person does not dwell in Me, he is
thrown out like a [broken-off] branch, and withers; such branches are
gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you live in Me
[abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live
in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. 8 When
you bear (PRODUCE) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you
show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine. AMP

And so I solemnly urge you before God and before Christ Jesus-who
will someday judge the living and the dead when he appears to set up
his Kingdom- 2 to preach the Word of God urgently at all times,
whenever you get the chance, in season and out, when it is
convenient and when it is not. Correct and rebuke your people when
they need it, encourage them to do right, and all the time be feeding
them patiently with God's Word. 3 For there is going to come a time
when people won't listen to the truth but will go around looking for
teachers who will tell them just what they want to hear. 4 They won't
listen to what the Bible says but will blithely follow their own
misguided ideas. 5 Stand steady, and don't be afraid of suffering for
the Lord. Bring others to Christ. Leave nothing undone that you ought
to do.
