for monitoring of the Marmara region
Collection and integration of seismological, geochemical, and
geodetic data to detect and model the interactions between
fluids, crustal deformation and ruptures of the active tectonic
structures of the Marmara area
Monitoring of pre-earthquake transients by data recorded
from the already established stations and networks
Integration existing seismological networks

Task leader: Francesco Italiano - INGV
Partners involved: KOERI, TUBITAK, KOU
Actions taken in the past 6 months:
Common field work with TUBITAK and GFZ for:
1) field measurements; 2) samples collection (gases and thermal
waters); 3) check the status of the automatic stations and data
download (May-June 2013)
Laboratory work for gas and water analyses (chemical and
isotopic) (June-October 2013)
Water chemistry data produced by TUBITAK and INGV
laboratories are perfectly comparable

Task 3 Integration of real-time networks data for Marmara area
Task leader: Onur Tan - TUBITAK
Partners involved: KOERI, GFZ, INGV, KOU
Actions taken in the past 6 months:
Setting up of the Main Data Server (MDS) real/near-real time networks:
Setting up Guralp Scream! server for real-time seismology data
transmission (from TUBITAK, KOU, and PIRES networks)
A ftp server is also established for near-real time data such as cGPS, spring
water and soil radon gas time series data
A new seedlink server to receive online seismology data of REFTEK
instruments used in CINNET and TUBITAK networks. GPRS modems were
tested for converting CINNET from off-line to online structure

Task 3 Integration of real-time networks data for Marmara area
Task leader: Onur Tan - TUBITAK
Partners involved: KOERI, GFZ, INGV, KOU
Actions taken in the past 6 months:
The MDS is located in KOERI campus to make the data available to
partners; one more has been established under marsite.eu web site.
Access is through secure connection via user name and passwords
provided to the partners. Monitoring of real time data acquisition of
seismological stations fetched from KOU, TUBITAK, PIRES and
CINNET networks is in place
