What is UltraViolet?
UltraViolet™ is a cloud-based solution that
allows you to stream your movies to any
mobile device. By linking your Kaleidescape
Store account with your UltraViolet Library,
you can stream your movies to any
smartphone or tablet while on the go,
and enjoy a theatrical movie-watching
experience on your Kaleidescape System
in pristine Blu-ray quality at home.
How do I get an UltraViolet account?
If you already have an UltraViolet account, go to the UltraViolet page on the
Kaleidescape Store and click on Link UltraViolet Library. If you do not have
an UltraViolet account yet, you can create one at uvvu.com.
Where do I get UltraViolet movies?
You can purchase UltraViolet-enabled movies from the Kaleidescape Store.
They will automatically be added to your UltraViolet Library. You can then
play them back on mobile devices through apps such as Flixster,
CinemaNow, M-Go, Nook, and Vudu.
Can I stream movies I purchased as discs?
Yes, you can use our Disc-to-Digital offers from the Kaleidescape Store. If the
UltraViolet-enabled copy of that movie is available on the Store, you can
download a mobile version for just $1.99.
What about UltraViolet movies purchased from other retailers?
If you've purchased UltraViolet movies from another UltraViolet retailer,
and if the movie is available on the Kaleidescape Store, you can download
it at no additional charge to your Kaleidescape System and enjoy an
un-compressed and theatrical viewing experience at home. No need
to purchase that movie twice.*
