Notifies supervisor of materials needed for stock such as chemicals, plumbing parts, electrical parts, etc. Work involves performance in the trades of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, locksmith, painting, and cafeteria equipment, such as but not limited to the: * Repair or replacement of plumbing fixtures (faucets, valves, fittings, bath & shower facilities, water heaters, and other related equipment). Removes worn, damaged, or leading items. * Repair and alteration of existing secondary electrical circuits. * Service, repair, or replacement of electrical appliances, motors, fuses, switches, and outlets in order to provide efficient and well maintained electrical service by selecting proper materials, reading electrical schematics, and using electrical instruments and hand tools. * Repair or replacement of ceiling tiles, broken windows, floor tiles, and other similar carpentry type work. * Checking, resetting, and repairing of HVAC equipment * Establishment of preventative maintenance procedures and schedules for equipment in the residence halls, including but not limited to: room heat pump units, air conditioners or fan coils, kitchen equipment (residential & commercial), exhaust fans, grease traps or water conditioners in order to optimize efficiency and life cycle thereby reducing equipment failure.
