The Arnprior and District Museum Board is pleased to announce that Crystal Balser, Tattoo Artisan, will deliver the keynote address titled “Tattoos: Deeper Than Just Skin” at its annual public meeting on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 1 p.m. All are welcome to attend and light refreshments will follow. Ms. Balser’s talk is the perfect complement to the My Story, My Tattoo exhibit on loan from the Wellington County Museum and Archives. She will explore all aspects of tattoos, including the negative stereotypes associated with them. “Crystal Balser’s background and her knowledge of tattoos will enlighten us and give us all a deeper understanding of the art of tattoos,” says Curator, Janet Carlile. Museum Board Chair, Brian Gilhuly declared, “This is a first for the museum, and we are delighted that Crystal Balser will entertain and inform everyone attending.” The My Story, My Tattoo exhibit is open Monday – Saturday 11 am – 4 pm until April 25, 2017. The Arnprior and District Museum is located at 35 Madawaska St. in the clock tower building.
