TeamRaiser Gift Terminology
l
l
l
l
An online gift is entered on the constituent interface by a constituent, either through a donation
form, TeamRaiser registration form, ecommerce, or ticket purchase
An offline gift is entered through either the administrator interface, upload, or participant center.
These are entered by someone other than the constituent.
A confirmed gift is a gift for which you as the administrator have received the actual payment. All
online gifts/credit card transactions are automatically confirmed.
An unconfirmed gift is one where the participant has entered the gift but you have not yet confirmed receipt of the payment. This designation needs to be configured to use.

Delayed Self-Pledge
In Sphere, you can enable Auto-Charge for your Thon event to automatically charge participants' credit
cards if they don't meet the required fundraising goal. In Luminate Online, you create a participation
type for a TeamRaiser event and associate it with Delayed Self-Pledge. From the Delayed Self-Pledges
tab, you can edit remaining balances and process some or all of the outstanding pledges.

Organization Hierarchy
In Sphere, an organization's hierarchical structure (where the highest level is the organization, and
beneath it are other levels and sublevels) is called a Company Pyramid. In Luminate Online, the organizational structure is called the Organization Hierarchy, and the hierarchy is made up of Local Companies and Cross-Event Companies.
Cross-Event Companies are broken down into Regional Companies and National Companies. National
Companies are the highest point of the hierarchy and are associated with all TeamRaisers of a certain
event type, and Regional Companies are associated with multiple TeamRaiser events of the same event
type. Local Companies can only be associated with a single event, and this company type can also exist
solely as a sponsor of an event.
You can learn more about the Organization Hierarchy and company association with TeamRaiser events
