Directions and Parking Information
General Directions to the Space Needle
m From Interstate-5 take exit number 167, towards Mercer Street/Seattle Center.
m
Keep right at the fork in the ramp.
m
Turn right onto Fairview Avenue North.
m
Turn left onto Valley Street.
m
Valley Street becomes Broad Street.
m
Follow the signs to the Seattle Center.
m
At the intersection of 5th & Broad, the Space Needle will be straight ahead,
with McDonalds on the left.
At this intersection, choose one of the following options:
Motor Coach Drop-off
m Continue through the intersection of 5th and Broad for one block, staying in the right lane.
m
The motor coach drop-off lane is on Broad Street in the southbound lane. The cross
street is John Street.
m
Motor coaches are not allowed in the Valet turn-around.
m
Follow the paved pathway around the Space Needle to the Ticket Booth.
m

The Ticket Booth is located outside on the north side of the building across from
the Monorail and EMP.
For motor coach parking, turn left at the intersection of Broad and John
(right in front of the valet turnaround).
m
Take your next left at 5th Avenue and follow that street through two lights.
m
Take a right at Republican Street, into the Seattle Center parking lot.
Self-Park Lot
m Turn right onto 5th Avenue.
m
Turn right again into the “5th Avenue Lot” at 5th and Republican.
m
This is a city parking lot and payment is required upon entry.
m
Walk south on 5th Avenue to Thomas Street.
m
Turn right, between EMP and the Space Needle, under the curved Monorail tracks.
m
The Ticket Booth is located outside on the north side of the building across from the
Monorail and EMP.
Valet Parking
m Continue through the intersection of 5th and Broad.
m
Turn right into the Space Needle Valet turnaround.
m
There is a large water fountain is situated in the center of the turn-around.
m
Valet is on a first come-first serve basis and there are a limited number of parking spaces.
m
The cost per vehicle fluctuates and is posted each day.
m
From valet, walk around the Space Needle to the Ticket Booth.
m
The Ticket Booth is located outside on the north side of the building across from the
Monorail and EMP.
