47 But if you do not believe his writings (Torah/Law =
YHWH’s Teachings), how shall you believe My words?“

the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to
fulfill them."

Their Argument:
• Y’shua didn’t do away with the Law.
• Nor did He taught or promote the Law.
• He just fulfilled the Law and we have nothing to do
with the Old Covenant anymore.
Let’s look at this argument and see if it holds water...

Think not that I am come to destroy (abolish) the law
(Torah = YHWH’s Teachings), or the prophets (Neviim = who talks
about me): I am not come to destroy (abolish), but to
fulfill.

is pleroo and it has various meanings:

If we look carefully at Y’shua’s words, He says:
• He came to do the one (fulfill) and not the other
(destroy/abolish).
• Therefore they cannot mean the same thing.
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the
Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill
them."

Rom 15:19: …I have fully preached (pleroo) the gospel
of Messiah.
If pleroo (fulfill) really means to "stop doing", are we
now to stop preaching the Gospel; as Sha’ul (Paul) has
fully done it and it need no further action?
