Health and Safety Fair
Join many Kitimat organizations such as the Kitimat Fire
Department, Search and Rescue, RCMP, Kitimat Leisure
Services, Canadian Rangers and Northern Health to name
a few, for an informative afternoon of fun and activities.
Free hot dogs will be served and tours of the emergency
service vehicles will be on the agenda for the kids!

Kids Fun Bike Race

Bruce Martingale from Wild Bike and Backcountry in
Terrace and CDC staff are assisting in providing a fun
race day for those kids who have bike wheels 24” or
less, including tricycles and run bikes. There will be
races according to wheel size and lots of prizes for all.
Come out and let your child explore their inner racer
personality. Sponsored by Wild Bike and Backcountry
in Terrace, Kitimat CDC and the District of Kitimat! Hot
Dogs and juice will be provided!

If you like our Rail Jam event, this event will be run similar.
There will be practice time from 1:30 - 2:15 pm and the
competition will start from 2:30 - 4 pm. Registration
will also be at the venue during the practice session.
Categories will be by age and levels, so come out and
try even if you’re a beginner! Lots of fun and prizes- free
hot dogs for all the competitors. Ruins will be selling
helmets to the competitors at 30% off at the event.

Outdoor Drive-In Theatre
Event
To celebrate Canada’s 150th Birthday, the Kitimat
Leisure Services Department is bringing up the FreshAir Cinemas Drive-In Theatre. It will take place in the
lower city centre parking lot. You must have a FM radio
in your vehicle in order to have audio for the movie.
There will be a small section in the front of the screen
for lawn chair access. For more details closer to the date

Hockey Championship

What better way to celebrate our great country’s 150th
birthday than with a Road Hockey tournament? You
and a group of friends can submit a team and play our
game for fun and bragging rights! Divisions will mirror
the Minor Hockey system, starting with Initiation and
going all the way through the Midget age groups! Each
team will be required to bring their own set of goalie
pads. Helmets, gloves and sticks for all players are
mandatory. (7 players per team - 6 players and 1 goalie)

1st Annual Kitimat Mudder Games
This is going to be the mud course where you can challenge your skills and agility. Oh, did we
mention get dirty too? Kitimat Leisure Services, Daudet Creek Contracting and the Kitimat
Chamber of Commerce have started preparations on a course where you will be challenged
with some extreme and fun obstacles designed to push you to your limit. Challenge family,
friends and co-workers. Sign up solo or with a team. There will be no podium or winner –
just the challenge to see if you have what it takes to get down and dirty!
