Connecting Devices through the PS/2 Connection
A keyboard or mouse is temporarily connected through the PS/2
port to assist in Touch Screen configuration and support
applications. Prior to attaching a mouse, connect a "Y" adapter to
the PS/2 port. A keyboard can be attached directly to the PS/2 port,
or through a "Y" adapter.
NOTE: It is recommended that devices connected through the PS/2
port are used to assist during installation only, and are not
permanently connected to the Touch Screen.
Caring for the Color Touch Screen
Remove the clear protective film from the Color Touch Screen only
after wall construction, finishing activities (such as plastering,
sanding, and painting), and installation are complete.
Use the soft, lint-free, LCD cleaning cloth provided to clean the
Color Touch Screen. If needed, spray the cloth with a mild cleaning
solution such as window cleaner and wipe the screen, then
surrounding areas. Do not spray cleaners directly on the Touch
Screen. When complete, wipe the Touch Screen dry. Do not use
abrasive cleansers, clothes, or scouring pads.

Connecting the Audio and Infrared
Infrared, audio line in, and audio line out connections are color
coded as red, blue, and green ports respectively on the back side of
the Color Touch Screen. Connections are compatible with a 0.14 in.
(3.5 mm) mono socket for the infrared input, and 0.14 in. (3.5 mm)
stereo sockets for the audio lines.
Loop the audio and infrared cables through the large ferrite filter
provided before connecting to the Touch Screen to provide
additional filtering and compliance with electromagnetic compatibility
(EMC) regulations.
Connecting the Video
An RCA video line out connection is color coded as a yellow port,
and located on the bottom right side (when viewed from the front) of
the Color Touch Screen. Connection to the video line enables the
Touch Screen's display to be viewed on a TV or monitor with
composite video input.
Fit the small ferrite filter provided over the video cable before
connecting to the Touch Screen to provide additional filtering and
compliance with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) regulations.

PROGRAMMING THE COLOR TOUCH SCREEN
A software project is a unique program created to allow the installer
and user to configure and customize the Touch Screen. The
software project is created, and then exported to an archive folder
where it can be transferred to the Touch Screen. Refer to a Square
D® Lighting Control representative or the installer for information on
creating and archiving a software project.
The customized software project is ready to transfer to the Touch
Screen after the project is complete and archived using Clipsal
C-Bus Toolkit software.
To transfer a software project, a PC connection, and installation of
Clipsal's C-Bus Toolkit software and Piced software is required. All
software is available from the Clipsal Integrated Systems (CIS)
website at (http://www.clipsal.com/cis).
After the software is installed, connect the Touch Screen to the
C-Bus Network. Refer to the "Connecting the Color Touch Screen to
the C-Bus Network" section for connection and wiring information.
Refer to the "C-Bus Toolkit Help" in the Toolkit software for
additional connection and startup information.
Transferring the Customized Software Project to the Color Touch Screen
The PICED software includes a Touch Screen transfer utility that is
used to upload a software project from the project archive to the
Touch Screen. After the software project is installed, configuration
functions, such as setting the time on the Touch Screen, can be
completed.
The transfer instructions provided are about how to install a project
from a PC using a direct Ethernet connection.
NOTE: It is also possible to install software projects to multiple
Touch Screens through a common DHCP network, or a network
where each Touch Screen has been configured with an appropriate
static IP Address. When connecting through a DHCP network, wait
approximately 3 minutes for the network connection to be enabled.
