On behalf of the Fraser Coast Apex Club, and in conjunction with Apex Camps, it is my pleasure to invite all
Apexians, past and present, foreign and domestic, your partners and children to attend the 2017 National
Convention at Apex Camps Mudjimba on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
Apex Camps Mudjimba is located at Twin Waters on one of the best beaches in Queensland. The facility is the
jewel in the crown of Apex Camps, providing accommodation, catering facilities and an array of activities sure to
keep yourselves and the kids well entertained over the weekend. Melbourne and Sydney have numerous daily
direct flights to the Sunshine Coast Airport which is only a short 5-minute car/bus ride from Apex Camps
Mudjimba. Brisbane Airport is just over an hour to the Camp by road if you are flying in from another destination
and buses leave every hour for the Sunshine Coast.
We ask you please to include your travel plans when registering to attend. If we know when and how people are
arriving we may be able to facilitate pickups from the airport or put you in touch with other Apex guests who are
arriving at a similar time.
Friday night’s Welcome BBQ is a Sun, Sea and Surf Beach Party so we encourage you to ‘fish out’ your best beach
outfit. Saturday night’s Gala National Handover Dinner will be a formal affair but keep in mind the weather in
October can be quite warm.
Things to know….
Linen: A linen pack of sheets, pillow, towel and blanket can be provided at $30 per pack however, if you are able
to bring these with you, you can save yourself these costs.
Cash Only: Unfortunately, we are unable to provide Eftpos over the weekend. Please bring plenty of cash to fully
enjoy the weekend. We ask you not to BYO alcohol as the Fraser Coast Apex Club will be running a bar with any
money raised supporting the costs of the Convention.

SUN, SEA & SURF - 2017 APEX AUSTRALIA NATIONAL CONVENTION:
On behalf of the Apex Club of Fraser Coast and the Board of Directors Apex Camps, we welcome you to join in the
“sun, sea & surf” experience of the 2017 Apex Australia National Convention on October 5th – 8th, 2017 at our
flagship camp, Apex Camps Mudjimba on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
The Sunshine Coast – come stay a while!
Accommodation:
Apex Camps Mudjimba is located at Twin Waters on one of the best beaches in Queensland. Our 220 bed facility
is the jewel in the crown of our camps and can provide air conditioned bunk bed sleeping arrangements, fully
catered venue and a large hall which can seat up to 500 persons comfortably.
We also have our own activities on site and off to keep the kids well entertained for their stay on the coast
ranging from the inflatable water park, Aqua Fun Park OR stay on site and challenge your skills on the 12-metrehigh climbing tower, get really dirty on the Mud Pit Challenge Course or something for the littlies with team
games and challenges. This will be charged by Apex Camps separately and not included in the convention costs.
Catering:
Apex Camps has a large commercial kitchen and provides full service catering. No BYO alcohol permitted –
licensed bar operating.
Friday Night Welcome BBQ:
Come dressed in your best beachy outfits (togs, towel, hat, zinc & pluggers) and game on with our Sun, Sea & Surf
Beach Party.
Gala Dinner:
Dress code for the Gala Dinner will be “smart formal”.
Getting There:
The Sunshine Coast Airport is located at Twin Waters and is a short 5-minute car/bus ride from Apex Camps
Mudjimba. Direct flights can be booked from Melbourne and Sydney. Other destinations can fly into Brisbane
Airport and is just over an hour to the Camp by road. Buses operate to the Sunshine Coast every hour and will
drop you to our door.
Non-Delegates & Delegates Tour:
Dependent on numbers, we have organised a day trip to beautiful Mapleton Village in the Maleny Hinterland.
Spend a day in the magnificent villages, taste some of the locally made wines, milk and chocolates, lunch at the
German Beer House and walk the many bush trails through the ranges. Additional charges will apply.
Delegates of the convention will not miss out either. We are organising a fishing afternoon on Saturday once the
official business for the day is completed.
Kidz Club
We will also be holding on site Activities for the kids and adults to try out at various times on Saturday along with
an outdoor cinema sized screen movie night for the kids. Some activities may incur an additional cost outside of
the convention packages. Kids Klub activities are free to full convention registration families ($200 per adult &
$90 per child).
