Welcome back! In case you are new to the FWS family, Renaissance can best be
described as a program that recognizes students, staff and sometimes parents. It is
way more than a program though. It is a part of our school culture. That feeling
you get that this school is “something special” when you walk in the door is RENAISSANCE. Each year we have a theme. This year, as you can probably tell by
this newsletter, is Peace, Love, Renaissance. All year long we will be encouraging
students to be Renaissance Stars by spreading Peace and Love. While we focus on
good citizenship qualities, we also recognize academic success. We try to reach as
many students as possible with our end of the marking period pep rallies and all of
the fun activities in between! If you ever have any questions or want to help out,
contact Ms. Dietrich (Renaissance Coordinator). In case you are interested, FWS
Renaissance has been recognized TWICE nationally!!!!

Mission StatementThe mission of the Fountain Woods School Renaissance Program is
to recognize and reward both social and academic achievements
of students and staff. It's primary goal is to increase student
achievement, build good citizens, increase staff enthusiasm, and to
raise the level of community participation in the school.
Fundraising- The Renaissance Program is
strictly self-sufficient
through fundraising
projects and donations. It is not funded
by any district budget
funds. Funds raised
are used for rewarding
students, staff, and
parents. Some examples for each are as follows:
