Hello Everyone!
My name is Brittany Tarantino. You all can call me Ms. Tarantino! I am a
student at the University of South Carolina and majoring in Elementary
Education. I will be interning for the Carolina School for Inquiry for the next
couple of weeks to focus on learning how to become the best future educator
I can be! So, let me share some fun facts about myself…
1. I am from a small town called Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey. Ho-Ho-Kus
was named after the Lenope Indians, which means “running brook.”
2. I come from a very big family, which includes eighteen first cousins
on my mother’s side and fifteen first cousins on my father’s side.
3. Both of my parents went to the University of South Carolina as well
as two aunts, three uncles, and six cousins.
4. In my family, I have an older brother, my mother, father, and a puppy
named Karmin we just rescued.
5. I love to play sports. In high school, I played soccer, basketball, and
lacrosse. I was awarded all county and all-league for lacrosse in New
Jersey as well as top honors award for grades in high school.
6. At The University of South Carolina, I am apart of the Chi Omega
Sorority. In this organization, I work with Make-A-Wish Foundation
to help grant wishes to young children with death threatening
diseases. Also, I am apart of honor roll and the club lacrosse team.
7. During my summer’s I like to work as a camp counselor in Cape Cod,
Massachusetts. At this camp, I teach archery, sailing, and swimming.
8. I am active with Susan G. Komen Breast Caner Foundation in raising
awareness for those who are battling breast cancer.
9. I have recently traveled to Japan and lived there for a month to help
teach lacrosse.
10. Lastly, I enjoy reading, photography and outdoor activities.
