An Introduction to Preschool

BIG KIDS...
Offers the next step for a child’s musical development.
Big Kids is a music and movement class especially
designed to meet the needs of your 5-7 year-olds
where they are in terms of craving structure, rules
and games, but still includes all the fun, creativity
and play your “big kid” needs. Your child will develop
the pre-music literacy skills needed to read music,
begin an instrument or participate at an advanced
level in school based music programs. Parents are
welcome to stay in class with your child or drop-off.
Parents (and siblings) are encouraged to come for
the last 10 minutes of each class. Siblings $65 (only
nursing babies allowed into class with parent except
last 10 minutes)

DEMO CLASSES
Up to twelve children ages birth through five and

Music Together class. Hear about the Music Together

Get “hooked” on fishing for life!
Introduce your child to the great
sport of fishing during this fun and
informative day. Fishing experts from
the Tri City Anglers will give basic
instruction on knot tying, casting, how
to bait the hook and fish handling
techniques. Bring your own pole
or use one of our loaner poles.
Children under 8 years old must
be accompanied by a parent or
guardian. Parents are asked not to
fish during the youth fishing time. The
lake will be planted with fish for the
event. California fish and game laws
will be enforced and Fishing is limited
to youth 8-16 years old during the
fishing in the Cities program.

makes this National Wildlife Refuge
unique. The 1.3 mile walk traverses
through endangered species habitat
and offers great views of the South

MOMMY/DADDY & ME SOCCER

CHILDREN’S DANCE
These short sessions are terrific for new students!
Ballet/Lyrical: In this class, participants learn the basic principles of ballet. This class will consist of barre
and center floor work. Participants need pink or white ballet shoes.
Contemporary: In this class dancers will learn beginning to intermediate level of contemporary dance, a
style of dance that combines ballet and modern dance techniques, while exploring their creativity. Jazz, ballet,
lyrical, modern shoes, and socks are all appropriate foot wear for class.
Dance Combo: This class will introduce the beginning and intermediate level dancer to a combination of
tap, ballet, acrobatic and contemporary dance. Dancers will need tap and ballet shoes.

WEE HOOP

HOOPSTERS: This parent/child class develops gross
motor skills and coordination pertinent to the game
of basketball. Repetition will enable children to build
their confidence level so that parent participation

that help children to develop listening skills and learn

FREE! JUNIOR GIANTS YOUTH BASEBALL LEAGUE
Hit a grandslam this summer in our Junior Giants Baseball program. Players of all abilities
will learn the true meaning of teamwork while competing against evenly balanced teams.
All players will receive a t-shirt and cap. A pitching machine and special rules will be used
to insure safe play for 7 – 13 year olds, while 5 – 6 years olds play T-ball. There will be
one practice per week, Day, TBA. Games will be on Saturday mornings. All players will
have the opportunity to receive free tickets to attend a Giants game TBA.

Gymnastics
Beginner/Level 1: Learn basic moves on the floor, uneven bars, balance beam, vault, conditioning & flexibility.
Advanced Beginner/Level 1/2: For students who can perform cartwheels, round-offs and forward/backward rolls.
Students will learn a variety of tumbling combos, backbends and backbend kick-overs. New skills and combos on the
equipment will be taught.
Enrolling in the intermediate class level has the prerequisite requirement of prior enrollment in at least 2 sessions at the
Beginner 1-2 level The intermediate level training is a higher level of skills that require that the gymnast has shown
adequate skill performance of Beg 1-2 level skills prior to enrollment in this level. If you have questions about what is

Youth Activities
MANDATORY league orientation “First Pitch” meeting.
At the Silliman Activity Center Meeting room on 6/4/16 at 9:00am for 5-6 year olds and
10:00am for 7-13 year olds. All materials will be give out to the parents at this meeting
and players will participate in the Strike out Bullying art contest. Coaches meeting will
follow @ 11:00am. All volunteer coaches will get to attend a free coaches clinic TBA at
AT&T park with Giants Staff. All parents/guardians will be registered as volunteers. This
is a FREE program and all parents will need to volunteer during the program. Questions?
