THE NORFOLK CLUB E NEWSLETTER – Spring 2014. Welcome to the Spring edition of our 2014 Newsletter and, as many of you are aware I am delighted to be staying on as Club Chairman until the President’s Summer Party in June; at which time I will formally handover to my successor – Mrs Jan Hÿtch. Jan is currently President of the National Association of Estate Agents; a most prestigious and demanding role involving, amongst other things, a huge amount of travelling throughout the United Kingdom and beyond. Jan completes her year in this role in June, hence us delaying the handover until then. At the AGM in January several new members were elected to our Club Committee and I am pleased to inform you that some of them will also be taking up roles on the F&GP Committee – Simon McCarthy and Aiden Watts will advise on Food & Wine, Lyndon Wild will be looking into all matters of a Fabric nature and Nick Farrow will be working on the Speakers Lunches. May I warmly welcome all our new Committee Members and thank those of you who have joined me on the F&GP Committee. At the Club Committee it was suggested we consider a ‘Concierge Service’ for our members, you will find more information about this proposal within the Newsletter and we do urge you to get in touch with George with your thoughts. Finally, may I send, on behalf of the Membership, our very good wishes to Eunice and Alice, they have both looked after us all so well and I am confident they will be hugely successful in their new chosen careers. I know we will miss them. With best wishes Janie Coppen-Gardner Club Chairman. Diary of Events March 2014 Car Park Barrier Please take care when approaching the Car Park barrier.
