Dear Parents & Carers
Congratulations to all our Year 6 children who have worked so hard this week towards their SATs
papers. They have shown great determination to do their best. Well done!
Well done to Jet Wade, Ellis Leach and Mr Craig who appeared on the BBC Radio Solent’s Julian
Clegg Show where they presented a weather report!
Congratulations to the children and families who took part in Walk the Wight at the weekend, many
of the children walked on the day and wore their medals into school on Monday. If your child has
been taking part at home and has yet to receive their medal, please complete and return the form
which was sent home with your child on Monday and we will organise for a medal to be presented to
them at an assembly with a representative from the Earl Mountbatten Hospice. We will organise
for this to take place when we have received the sponsorship money from everyone.
Next Friday is a Mufti Day, combined with our Fundraising Day. Please see the details below.
.
Year R and Year 1 have completed their giant bugs and they look fantastic. They will be displayed
around the school. Many thanks to Irene and Penny from Ventnor Botanic Gardens for their time
and help with these.
Please see the attached letter regarding the changes to After School Care provision from
September. We would be grateful for your responses by Friday 24 th May.
Well done to Seahorse, 3M and 6W who have the highest attendance at 96%. Let’s hope that as
the weather improves, all children will be in school every day.
