SUMMER SCHOOL 2017 REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
FOR VANIER COLLEGE STUDENTS
VANIER STUDENTS GRADUATING IN SUMMER 2017
- You are missing no more than 3 courses to graduate
- Science students may not be missing more than 2 science courses to graduate
- Check the list of Potential Summer School Graduates to ensure that your name is on the list.
If your name is on the list, you will be notified of your registration appointment during the week of
May 15. Click on this link:
Potential Summer School Graduate List
- If your name is not on the list and you think it should be, you must go to Academic Advising
(room A-201) before May 12.
- Omnivox on-line registration for graduating students will take place on Friday, May 26.
- The list of Summer School courses is at http://www.vaniercollege.qc.ca/conted/summer-school/
- If you need help on May 26, call 514-744-7556. This line will only be active between 9:00-16:00.
VANIER POTENTIAL GRADUATES IN THE FOLLOWING SITUATIONS MUST CONSULT
WITH AN ACADEMIC ADVISOR (ROOM A-201) BEFORE MAY 19






You are on the Winter 2017 potential graduate list but are failing a course
You need to take a B-Block French but it is not listed on the Summer School schedule
You wish to take a University prerequisite
You are in Commerce or Social Science with Math and do not wish to take Calculus 2 in Summer
School in order to graduate this summer
You are a graduating Social Science student and need to take an Enrichment course this summer
You wish to take a course at another Cégep
CURRENT VANIER NON-GRADUATING STUDENTS
Between April 18 and May 5, you will receive a Survey in Omnivox (scroll to Surveys & Votes). You must
complete the survey in order to be assigned a registration appointment for Summer School. The
registration appointment will be for Tuesday, May 30.

NOTE TO ALL STUDENTS:

Following the above procedures does not guarantee a seat
All fees must be paid in full within 24 hours of your registration. Payment should be made
through Vanier College’s Omnivox by Visa or MasterCard. Payment by Visa, MasterCard or debit
can also be made in person in the Registrar’s Office. We do not accept cash or personal cheques.
If the fees are not paid in full, the course(s) will be deleted.
The College reserves the right to make changes to the course schedule without prior notice,
including the revision or cancellation of courses.
These procedures do not apply for anyone who wants to register for Prep School courses, i.e.,
high school mathematics, high school science. Please see Prep School 2017 information

FOR STUDENTS FROM OTHER CÉGEPS
GRADUATING STUDENTS FROM OTHER CÉGEPS (COMMANDITE STUDENTS)
a) Bring your Priority Graduating Commandite form (either the virtual one or handwritten) in-person to
the Amphitheatre (room B-223) on Thursday, May 18 or Friday, May 19 between 9:00 and 12:00.
We will collect your form and we will process your registration request after our graduating students
have registered.
b) We will send you an email on Monday, May 29 to let you know if you have been registered in your
course(s). Your registration fees will have to be paid in full by noon on Tuesday, May 30.
NON-GRADUATING STUDENTS FROM OTHER CÉGEPS (COMMANDITE STUDENTS)
a) Bring your Non-Priority Non-Graduating Commandite form (either the virtual one or handwritten) inperson to the Amphitheatre (room B-223) on Thursday, May 18 or Friday, May 19 between 9:00 and
12:00.
We will collect your form and we will process your registration request after all of the graduating
students and the non-graduating Vanier students have registered.
b) We will send you an email on Wednesday, May 31 to let you know if you have been registered in your
course(s). Your registration fees will have to be paid in full by noon on Thursday, June 1.
GENERAL PUBLIC
New students must complete the on-line application for admission between Monday, May 1 and
Tuesday, May 2. Apply at http://www.vaniercollege.qc.ca/conted/credit-courses/apply.php
You must provide the following:
 Your birth certificate and proof of your completed high school (or equivalent). Students who are
just completing high school will not be considered and should not apply.
If you were born outside of Quebec, you must also provide:
 A clear copy of your Canadian citizenship card (both sides) or Permanent Resident card (both
sides)
 a clear copy of your Medicare card or your Certificat de Selection (CSQ)
You must submit all of your documents within two days of applying or your request will not be
processed. Follow the instructions on your application confirmation.
You will be contacted by email in late May and assigned a registration appointment. You will register online on Thursday, June 1. Your registration fees will have to be paid in full by noon on Friday, June 2.
If you only want to take a Prep School course, you do not use this application service. Please follow
instructions for Prep School http://www.vaniercollege.qc.ca/conted/prep-school/
Commandite students do not follow these instructions. Please read the Commandite procedures above.
