GROWING AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
The Double Bubble gives you more space and double the fun! Perfect for the office
or home, these lush miniature landscapes are refreshing sights and make for
relaxing scenery all year long. Everything you need to start the fun is contained in

PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS
• Carefully unwrap your Glass Terrarium and place on a solid surface.
• Place your germination disk in a separate container. Add 2 cups of luke warm
water. The germination disk will absorb the water and expand into your
growing medium.
• After the disk has absorbed the water carefully use a plastic spoon (not provided) to fill the bottom of your Double Bubble with the germination mixture. Gently
use the plastic spoon to push down the growing medium so it is about 1 ½
inches thick and sits firmly on the base of the glass terrarium. Make sure it does
not extend out of the opening. The growing medium should be well moistened
but make sure there are no pockets of standing water.
• Carefully pour seeds from the pack onto a creased paper that is laid flat on a
flat surface, sprinkle half the seeds onto your growing medium as desired.
Gently push them into the medium with the plastic spoon. This kit comes with
enough seeds for two plantings. Be sure to save half the seeds from each pack
if you want another planting and store your saved seeds in a cool, dry area
without too much humidity.
*Tip – If you CAREFULLY hold the terrarium at an upwards angle while planting your
seeds it is easier to guide them into the correct positions.
• Put the entire terrarium inside of a sealed plastic bag or cover the small opening
with saran wrap.
• The seeds will sprout in about one to two weeks. Remove from bag or discard
saran wrap from the opening of the terrarium. Be sure to water weekly or as
needed to keep soil from drying out after sprouting.
PINK POLKA DOT PLANT
Even though this easy to grow tropical plant is native to
Madagascar, it flourishes anywhere. The leaves of this
delightful plant will have colorful white, red, pink, and
rose splashes covering them in less than 2 months.
These spots are actually a form of “figurative
patterning” just like the stripes on a zebra.
Growing Information
The Pink Polka Dot Plant requires moderate light. Bright light is
essential for good leaf color, but too much light from direct sun will scorch the
leaves. The soil should be kept moist at all times, but take care not to overwater
so that the soil becomes soggy, which will cause the leaves to turn yellow. If the
leaves begin to wilt, you are probably under watering the plant. Water thoroughly
and your Pink Polka Dot Plant will usually spark back up. You can also easily take
a cutting from this plant. Put them in water to root and you can have even more
Pink Polka Dot Plants!
RAINBOW PLANT
These fantastic plants boast an array of beautiful
multi-colored leaves. They are easy to sprout and
grow and will fill your glass terrarium with color in
just a few weeks. In Victorian times Rainbow Plants
were used in carpet beds. They were also a favorite
houseplant in Java and the old world tropics. Pinch of
the buds of flowers. Do not let them form seeds or the
plants will die back.
Growing Information
When planting the Rainbow Coleus press the seeds into the soil but take care
not to cover the seeds. Coleus plants thrive when they have plenty of light,
especially a southern sun exposure, which provides several hours of bright light.
Keep the soil moist. Coleus plants love a good drink of water, but not too much.
