Caribou Caribou will scrape the snow away and eat lichens, dried sedges and small shrubs. In the summer they the will eat leaves of willows, sedges, flowering tundra plants, and mushrooms. Musk Ox The musk ox eat lots of food like grass, willows, arctic flowers, mosses, lichens, aspens, birch shoots, berry bushes, sedges, leaves, twigs and even barks if they can find some. Arctic Fox Snowy Owl A typical diet of this fox consists of birds, eggs, small mammals and fish. It will also eat berries, seaweed, insects and larvae, when other prey is scarce The snowy owls feed on arctic fox, rabbits, lemmings, voles, and various seabirds. Arctic Hare In the winter the arctic hare feeds on bare twigs and vegetables just under the snow. It will also eat spruce twigs, bark, needles, and buds of hard wood. In the summer they feed on grass, bugs, twigs, and leaves. Arctic Tern In most cases, it eats small fish or marine crustaceans. Fish species comprise the most important part of the diet, such as herring and cod. Among the marine crustaceans eaten are amphipods, crabs and krill. Arctic Wolf Wolves mainly eat Arctic hare, musk ox, Arctic fox, caribou, and lemmings.
