Page 1 of 3 SF Aqua Club 3rd Annual – NFL Survivor “Pool” LOSER’s edition A FUN and EASY way to earn Fundraising Credit!!! WHAT IS IT? A football pool (FUNDRAISER) for the South Fayette Aqua Club that begins with the Pro Football season mid-way point (Week 9) and ends with the last game of the regular season -- or when there is only one player left. WHY ARE WE DOING THIS? This is a 50-50 pool with half of the proceeds going to the SF Aqua Club swim team and the other half going to the winner (or winners). COST? One time donation of $10 is due before the Sunday of the 9th week. (Friday Nov 2nd, 2012) WHO DO WE WANT TO PLAY? Anybody and everybody! Ask your friends, neighbors, co-workers, relativesanyone can play. The more that play, the bigger the prize and the better for the Club. HOW TO PLAY? It’s very simple. All you have to do is pick the LOSING team of an NFL game played on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday night, of that week. No point spreads involved - just pick the losing team. There are two stipulations: 1. The only teams eligible to choose from are listed below and they have losing records after Week 7: Browns, Buccaneers, Chiefs, Colts, Cowboys, Jaguars, Lions, Raiders, Saints, Steelers, Panthers, Titans. 2. You can use a team only ONCE during the balance of the SEASON. There is no additional cost involved. Each week, every player who picks the losing team continues to play. If the team you pick to lose wins the game, you are out of the pool. WHAT DO WE NEED FROM THE PARENTS? We need you to act as a host to your group. Spread the word about our “NFL Survivor Pool - LOSER’s edition” contest. Collect $10.00 from each player and get his or her first pick by NOON Friday Nov 2nd. For each person you get to join, you get $2.00 credit toward your fundraising goal! This year, picks will be made via a Google Website. This way, every player can be responsible for submitting their own picks. Register Players at: Save Weekly Picks at: http://sfswim.org/survivor/register http://sfswim.org/survivor/picks Picks are generally due by noon FRIDAY of each week. If any player wants to choose a Thursday game, the pick must submitted on the website by NOON on Thursday. Please collect all the money from your group and write one check for the total to SFAC. DON’T HESITATE TO ASK ANYONE AND EVERYONE! Page 2 of 3 NFL SURVIVOR POOL RULES AND INFORMATION 1. Total cost: $10.00 - MUST be paid before first pick of 9th week. 2. All games for the week (including Thursday, Friday, and Saturday games) are eligible. If choosing one of these games get your selection to your host before the game. Most will choose Sunday or Monday games. The Sunday, Monday picks must be saved on the website by NOON FRIDAY. 3. Each week pick one team to lose – no point spread – simply pick a loser. 4. Players may only use a team ONCE during the balance of the season, from the list provided! IF A PLAYER CHOOSES THE SAME TEAM TWICE DURING THE SEASON, THAT PLAYER WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AND WILL BE OUT OF THE POOL! THIS WILL BE THE PLAYERS RESPONSIBILITY. 5. If a player does not make a selection for any week, then we will use the first available team from an alphabetical list. 6. A tie score in a pro game is a rare occurrence but if a game ends in a tie, there is no Losing team; therefore if you picked either team as the loser, you are out of the pool. Players must pick a LOSING team. 7. The football week is the official NFL week and typically begins with the Thursday night game if any, and ends with the Monday night game. 8. If towards the end of the contest there is a weekend when all remaining players do not survive, then that weekend results will be ignored and only those players will continue the next week. If the season ends with more than one surviving player, those players will be considered the Pool Winners and the prize money will be divided evenly. 9. If you have any questions please contact Randy Guyan, or Mark Briner at 412-726-2872. 10. Thanks for your support of the SF Aqua Club. Eligible teams to choose in your pick each week (Remember, you can’t use same team twice): Browns Buccaneers Chiefs Colts Cowboys Jaguars Lions Raiders Saints Steelers Panthers Titans
