INCOMAT welcomes participation of scientists/engineers and institutions active in the fields of biomaterials for medical
applications who are located either in Europe or in the Western Balkan Countries and Newly Independent States
Specific Support Action
(SSA) INCOMAT
Basic Concept
Overall Objectives
One of the main tasks of INCOMAT
is to identify where biomedical
research could make a significant
impact on the quality of life of all
EUROPEAN citizens including
those of WBC and NIS. In this
context, the most important objective
of INCOMAT is to identify the
scientific areas where ‘cutting-edge”
developments could provide the
supportive technology platform for
innovative implants for hard tissue
applications
The structure of INCOMAT enables
the transfer of scientific knowledge
from Europe to the Western Balkan
Countries and Newly Independent
States. Concentrated research efforts
by the Teams of Excellence will
explore new concepts and support the
technological-reference basis of the
EU Environmental Technologies
Action Plan.
