Message from the Director:
There are few events in life as exciting as opening night of a production. It has
been a long process since first deciding on our show this fall. Auditions were held
in January and between then and now; sets, costumes, props and staging ideas
were in the making. I was very glad to see all of the excited faces at our first
rehearsal! I was amazed at the accomplishments we made after just one week of
rehearsal. Having directed a few shows in the past, I knew there would be both
good days and bad days. Both came and went, and through it all I am extremely
pleased and proud of the hard work and dedication put in by the kids.
Next, it is impossible to put on a show alone and I owe a huge debt of gratitude
to my amazing coworkers. Thank you to Mrs. Leck who helped me with
everything from auditions to purchase orders. Thank you to the very talented
Mrs. Gibbs-Dempski who did an amazing job with face painting. Thank you to JB
lighting who installed our beautiful lights and provided us with a follow spot.
Thank you to my brilliant mother-in-law for the last minute sewing emergencies.
Thank you to Mr. Alvarez for helping with our set. Thank you to Mrs. Morgenroth
for helping clean up our choreography. And finally, thank you to Ms. Zaleski for
the many hours she has spent with our cast and crew at rehearsals!
Last but not least, thank you so much to the parents who made this production
possible. I am so grateful to the many parents who volunteered to run the bake
sale, help with costumes, and build the set. Special thanks the Benson and
Esposito families for our extraordinary flying carpet and market place stands.
Thank you to Mrs. Caputo, Mrs. DiLorenzo and Mrs. Coleman as well!
Thank you for supporting the LPMS drama club. Enjoy the show!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Melinda Holly

moment when she was able to get an important part of this play it was
a big step up for her. Mackenzie also loves to do art, drama, and sports.
She has a great imagination which is good for the play Aladdin Jr.
Mackenzie would like to thank her family for the support of her playing
in this year’s play, she would also like to thank Mrs. Holly for letting her
be in a big part of this play, and being able to be in such an important
part of the play lets her to be more confident of what she is going to do
in each play. She also loves this about the play because she gets to do all
these fun things and she hopes to do this again next year.

Theater Etiquette Begins Before You Arrive

Arrive to the theater on time.

Visit the restroom before the performance begins.

Turn off your cell phone or, if it must be on, put it on vibrate. Do not
speak on the phone during the performance. If you must call the person
back, do it outside during intermission or after the show has finished.

Don't speak during the performance...whispering is still speaking, so
only in an emergency.

Remember that the Overture (introductory music) in Musical Theater is
part of the performance, so be quiet when it begins.

Do not take pictures during the performance. It can be very distracting
to the actors and can cause a mishap.

Remain in your seat for the entire performance. If you must leave, exit
during intermission. In an emergency, wait for an appropriate break in
the show. It is rude to get up in the middle of a quiet moment...rude to
the actors and your fellow audience members.

Do laugh when the performance is funny.

Do applaud when it is appropriate during the performance.

Do applaud when the performance is over...this tells the performers
and crew that you appreciate their work.

Stand and applaud if you really thought the show was great.

Do not whistle or scream out to the performers except for a Bravo or
Brava.
