Login To MDT In order to begin you shiT you must login to the system. To login you enter your Driver ID in the field provided and then press the “Send” (F6) bu<on. Job Offer When you are the “CAT” and a trip is offered, the “Job Offer” Menu automa>cally displays, indica>ng you are being offered a job. You must accept the job offered by pressing the “Yes” (F2) bu<on (accept). Important: You must accept the job offer Within 2 MINUTES! If your Login is successful, you are automa>cally taken to the main menu. In Route Func2on The “In Route” func>on is used to send a message to the Accessible Dispatcher. To get to the “In Route” func>on from the job screen, press the back op>on (F1) twice to return to the main menu. From there, press “More” (F6) then “Zone” (F6) then “More” (F6), which will display the “In Route” (F4) func>on. The sequence is: (F1) (F1) More (F6) Zone (F6) More (F6) Once you accept the job offer the job details will appear on the screen. Pressing the “No” bu<on may poten>ally result in a fine of up to $1,000.00. The Main Menu provides you with all of the op>ons you need to use the MDT. Selec>ng the “More” bu<on provides you with addi>onal op>ons. (See end of document for op>ons) S When the “In Route” func>on is selected (F4), you may enter either a message from your list and press send (F6), or select one of the screen messages shown (F2) by moving the arrow keys to scroll up or down. Use the “Select Message” bu<on (F2) and then “Send”. You will then return to the “More” menu. Listen For Trip Offer Dispatch will offer you a trip if you're the closest Available Taxi (CAT). Set you trip no>fica>on loud enough to be sure you hear it. New York Navman Instruc>ons Rev 1.0 (6-­‐26-­‐12) The next two func2ons, On-­‐Site and Call Out must be performed for each passenger pick up On -­‐ Site 0p>on When you arrive at the passenger pick-­‐up loca>on, press the “In-­‐Route” func>on and you will see a few op>ons, including an “On-­‐Site” op>on. Press (F2) to select the proper message. Scroll down to the op>on then press “Send” (F6). You will now see your call request has been received. You have now Time-­‐Stamped your arrival. Call out Op>on The very next requirement is for you to no>fy the passenger that you have arrived. Once back on the more op>ons screen, press the “In Route” op>on (F4) and then press (F2). Scroll down to the Call Out Op>on and press Send (F6). You will now see your call request has been received. Once the passenger has been loaded into the vehicle you can start the taxi meter and your communica>on with accessible Dispatch for this trip has ended. No Show Bu<on A passenger No-­‐Show occurs when you have performed an ‘On Scene”, a “Callout”, and have waited 10 minutes, and your passenger has not shown up. You may then press the “No Show” bu<on. To locate the No Show bu<on, select the “In-­‐ Route” op>on and then select “No Show”. Once pressed, The dispatcher will check for your On Scene, Callout, and 10 minute wait >me. If all have occurred, the dispatcher will then grant your No Show request. Once granted you may either return accep>ng flag downs or accept another dispatch trip, if available Messaging Pre-­‐selected communica>ons between driver and dispatcher. Drivers select a message to send to dispatch for pre-­‐determined list. If the taxi does not have a dispatched trip: •  Press (F5) Zone •  Press (F6) More •  Press (F6) Code, then enter message code and press SEND If the taxi already has a dispatched trip: •  F6 More •  F6 Code Note: Enter Codes via the keypad and then press SEND. For example, entering a message code 81 tell the dispatcher to call your job. It is used when a dispatcher needs a driver’s help to pick up a job that no other driver is near or able to accept. •  Press (F5) Zone •  Press (F3) C-­‐Book, then enter the desired zone number Note: Enter the zone number VIA the keypad, then press (F6) Enter.
