HOW TO SHOP JBF (AND SAVE)
Why Just Between Friends?
We work with our consignors to provide you with safe, quality items in great condition!
Consignors price their own items and to ensure that our quality guidelines are followed, we have
an inspection process before they are placed on the sales floor. 20,000 sq/ft of shopping greatness!
JBF is Nevada's Largest Kids & Maternity Consignment Sales Event.
 Public Sale Hours:
o Primetime Shopping: Thursday 3-9pm (during the presale!)

No children under 12 before 6 pm (unless worn in carrier)
o Friday, October 16th: 9am-8pm
o Saturday, October 17th: 9am-3pm
o Sunday, October 18th: 9am-2pm ~ 50% off day
 Shopping Guidelines:
o Strollers and children welcome all public sale days only.
o We accept Cash, VISA, MC and Discover.
o Admission Fees: (Cash only at the door)

Primetime Shopping: $15

$3 Admission fee per adult Friday and Saturday

Free passes available on our website or at preschools, doctor’s
offices and charter schools.

No admission fee for Sunday

All admission fees benefit NYEP, Step2, The YOUth, Casa de Vida and the
Women and Children’s Center of the Sierra
o Items missing a tag cannot be sold, if you see a separated tag or item with no tag
please bring it to the hold area.
o Prices are not negotiable. Prices are set by the consignor prior to the sale. Prices
may not be changed during the sale for any reason.
o Car Seats and Strollers must be held and picked up (after purchase) from the pickup
area. They may not be taken from this area.
o Children are welcome during public sale hours (not before 6pm on Thursday!)

Use your judgment when bringing children, the sale is often very busy and
check out times can be long for those little legs.

Do not allow children to play on or with toys.

Children must remain with an adult at all times.

Items are the property of consignors and if they are broken or separated they
cannot be sold. We try to be very careful with YOUR merchandise.

Please do not allow children to eat or drink around merchandise.

For these reasons, and your own peace of mind, we suggest you shop
without children if at all possible.
o All Sales are Final - Inspect and test all goods before paying and leaving the
building.

Please do not open items unless you are at the hold area. Our volunteers in
the hold area can assist in testing and inspecting items.

If there is an issue with a misleading tag, please bring your item and receipt
to the front door during sales hours.

No returns after 2pm on Sunday of the sale.
o While we make the best effort to ensure the quality of the items on our floor,
sometimes things are missed. Please bring any unacceptable items to the hold area.
o Swapping tags from one item to the next is and will be considered theft.
 Shopping Tips:
o Get there early! There is always a line when we open our doors each morning!

The earlier your shop, the more deals there are to choose from!
o Bring a laundry basket with you to help carry items while you shop. Some
shoppers tie a rope to the end of their basket so they can pull it along as they are
looking through the racks.
o We do provide Ikea bags for your shopping convenience. They are available for
purchase, as well, for $1.
o Bring a list of items you hope to find. This way, you have the list handy when
you are distracted by the sight of all of the great stuff!
o Utilize the hold area with your full bags and large items

Shop the larger items first

We are able to hold items for up to one hour, need more time while you
shop? Stop by and let us know!
o Wear comfortable shoes so you can get to the good deals quickly.
o Bring your child's measurements and sizes!
o Empty your trunk! Many of our shoppers find more deals than they planned!

If you purchase a large item and provide a valid receipt we can hold it
for pickup up to 24 hours (no later than 2pm Sunday).

We have helpers to assist in loading large items into your vehicle.
o Electronic Testing is available in our Hold Area. Please take the time to test
electric toys and equipment before you purchase, as all sales are final.
o If you see something you really want, grab it – it most likely will not be there if
you come back later for it.
WHAT IS THIS STAR THING ABOUT?
 Sunday is our half-price sale day.
 At this special discount sale time, you can buy any item that DOES NOT have star on its
tag at 50% off its original price! Tags WITH stars are not included in the discount sale.
But all items with NO STARS are included!
 Volunteers and Consignors get to shop the half-off presale!

o 3:00 pm entry – Prime Time Shopping
o 4:00 pm entry – Guest Passes, First Timers, Military Families & Teachers
o 6:00 pm entry - Special Family Shopping Time
 Any presale shoppers, plus children.
 Lines may be exceptionally long during this time.

o Much easier than you may think, especially if you plan ahead. Sign up, prep your
items and drop them off.
o Consign and earn 60% of your sales
o Receive one guest presale pass to pass on to a friend (Thursday 4-9pm)
 Help Out at the Sale! (Shop as early as Thursday 9:30 am!)
o Earn an extra 10% of your sales (70% total)
o The more hours you work, the earlier you get to shop
