Flower-
We all gladly bid farewell to a record-breaking cold winter and replace our heavy parkas with
lighter jackets. With spring finally here, we appreciate having a break from seemingly endless
shoveling, brushing off vehicles and wading through snow and sludge. Our staff appreciate
the less stressful commutes to work and our participants and families welcome less
treacherous trips to our Day Center.

Quote:
“April
prepares her
green traffic
light and the
world thinks
Go.”
Our Day Center activities calendar is, as always, packed full of activities and we look forward
to a fun and eventful April.
There is one event I'd like to draw specific attention to: Tuesday, April 7 we are kicking off
our month-long Respect campaign to draw awareness to this very important issue. As you
know, emotional health is part of the CSC care model and is valued as much as medical care.
Many of our participants attend the Center and we go to great lengths to ensure they, and
individuals in their care circle, are happy, comfortable and safe. It is very important to us that
our participants always enjoy themselves in the Center and all experiences with CSC staff and
our program. Our Respect campaign will reiterate the importance of treating each other with
kindness....always. I am reminded of a great quote we should all strive to incorporate into our
daily lives:
"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle." Plato
Thank you and please join me in welcoming spring and the renewal it offers to us all.
Sincerely,
-Christopher

Employee of the Month
Foot care if you have diabetes:
 Check your feet every day and watch for any cuts,
sores, red spots, swelling, and infected toenails.
 Report sores, blisters, breaks in the skin, infections, or
buildup of calluses to a podiatrist or physician.
 Never walk barefoot.
 Have your feet checked at every doctor visit.
 Take your shoes and socks off when you go into the
examining room. This will remind the doctor to
check your feet.

Foot care is very important for people with diabetes. High
blood glucose levels and a reduced blood supply to the
limbs cause nerve damage that reduces feeling in the feet.
Someone with nerve damage may not feel a pebble inside
his or her sock that is causing a sore. Or a blister caused by
poorly fitting shoes may go unnoticed. Foot injuries such as
these can cause ulcers, which may, if not cared for,
ultimately lead to the need for amputation.
CONGRATULATIONS
MICHELLE!!!

Dear Participants:
Please remember to give your Complete Senior Care enrollment card to the
physician’s office when you arrive for your appointment. This will remind the
doctor’s office staff to send your claims to Complete Senior Care for payment.
Your enrollment card with us replaces your Medicare and/or your Medicaid
coverage. Giving the office staff only your Complete Senior Care card will help
avoid any billing confusion.
If you do receive any statements from doctors or hospitals for services you
received please forward the statement to me as soon as possible. I will work
directly with the doctor or hospital to resolve the billing problem. Many of the
physicians you see are already participating with us and are familiar with billing
Complete Senior Care, but occasionally a visit outside our network is
necessary. This is the time when it is important to present only your enrollment
card.
I would be more than happy to answer any billing questions for you or the
doctor’s office. I can be reached at (716) 285-8248 ext. 121. It is my pleasure to
be of assistance!
