Our brand new classes end up tag-teaming for the coveted “Biggest Debut Ever” award at TCA
When we introduced TCA Hip Hop Fitness on 30 July,
we were amazed at how many cool cats rocked along
to support Jay and Lissy - 40 people! That was a TCA
Group Training Class debut record. Then, what do you
know, 50 came along the very next week to the brand
new TCA Flex (stretch class) on 05 August. Amazing.

You’ll have noticed that we’re gradually working
through a few spruce-up jobs. As time (and money)
allows, we’re progressively upgrading the bathrooms,
installing new signage, and repainting. We also have
plans over the next few months around equipment
upgrades in some key areas (starting with, for example,
the warm-up bikes), so keep an eye out for those.
Bear with us as we work through the changes; rest
assured, there’ll be some cool stuff happening! And we
love to hear your suggestions & positive feedback, so
keep that coming!

TOWELS: Towels are to help stop
your sweat transferring to the gear
The usage of a towel at a gym is not
simply for you to mop your brow when you get
a bit sweaty. Laying out a towel on all
stationary equipment - benches, stationary
seats, and even the floor - before you sit, lie
down, lean, or lounge - helps to promote
sanitary conditions. Consequently, the towel
needs to be of a reasonable size - hand-towels
are not really going to do the trick. If you go
into any gym that cares about the health of its
members, you’re going to see the same
requirement. We’ve got some brand new
awesome red TCA towels to hire for only $2, so
ask for one of those if you’ve forgotten. Thx!

The TCA team is growing all the time, so
we thought we’d give you a quick summary of
who’s who:
• Arna Rohrlach - Co-owner of the TCA
empire, designer of many wicked group
training classes, and a proud mum.
Husband Kyle is also doing a lot behind the
scenes to help move things forward.
• Ant Gibson - Co-owner of the TCA
empire, and also runs TCA Consulting,
focusing on business process & technology.
Considers Group Training as the holy grail of
fun and energy. Hobbyist in design, and a
throwaway-pop-music nut.
• Nikki Jamieson - One of TCA Your
Gym’s cornerstones. Mumma’s Club
creator, and supreme supporter of people’s
workout goals. Loves every challenge.
• Mallory Hodgson - TCA Your Gym’s
other cornerstone. TCA Flex powerhouse,
and designer of workout programs that will
change your exercise life.
• Anna Juby - Nautropath, Walker, Gold
instructor, busy mum, TCA champion.
• Jocelyn Read - Another Walker, Gold
instructor, Kettler, and low-impact aerobics
Membership Freezes
A membership freeze is a great way to
suspend your membership if you’re going to be
away for an extended period, or if you’re
having an operation, etc. You get one free
freeze per membership year (thereafter each
freeze carries a charge of $25), and the total
freeze period for the year can be up to 3
months. Keep this option in mind - it’s a great
tool for you to use to make your membership
work in with your lifestyle.
10 THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT: NOM CHASE
We all know that our Zumba-tastic Nom is da bom, but here’s 10 things you didn’t know!
1. When was the last time you laughed out loud?
Oh man. At work today about 11.30am when it finally dawned
on me why I’d been feeling a little strange all morning. I’d
forgotten to wear a particular piece of undergarment.
Shimmy? Not likely.
2. Would you skydive if you were offered a free jump?
ABSOLUTELY YES! When and where, I’ll be there!
3. What band or artist is your current iPod favourite?
Lol at the moment ‘Naughty Boy’.
4. Mountain hideaway or beach house?
Beach House.
5. Favourite sport to watch?
Anything but Cricket.
6. Scary movies or happy endings?
Happy endings of course, life is scary enough don’t you think?
7. What do you love most about your work at TCA?
People, people, people! All the dedicated and motivated
people I get to see working hard along with the TCA team.

intent. You are an inspirational bunch and a phenomenal
