Lutheran Social Services (LSS)
Therapeutic Foster Parents provide
nurturing support, love, and security for
children and teens. The program is a
powerful and unique model of care that
provides specialized services to children
and adolescents who have:
* Mental Illness
* Behavioral Disorders
* Family Issues
* Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse Issues
* Developmental Disabilities
* Other Challenges
Foster families open their hearts and
homes to children and teens requiring
placement on a short or long-term basis.
The children we place have traumatic
histories and are in need of therapeutic
foster parents to provide a home with
guidance, structure, patience and
understanding. We are in search of parents
of all races, ages and denominations who
want to share their strength, courage, and
values with these children.
Our program also has opportunities for
respite providers who lend support to foster
parents.
People will forget what you said.
People will forget what you did.
But people will never
forget how you
made them feel.
