Seeds become full grown plants. Small plants grow into delicious fruit, vegetables, or beautiful flowers. God designed these plants to grow. When we become a part of God’s family, we are much like those small seeds that need to be watered, fertilized, and given light to grow. Our verse this week is “Let your roots grow down into Him and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught.” (Colossians 2:7a) This week we will focus on how to grow…how to be sure our roots go deep and draw nourishment from Jesus. He has given us the instructions on how to do this through going to church, reading our Bibles, obeying God and worship and prayer. As we take care of our life in Jesus, we will grow in amazing ways! So let’s water, fertilize, and spend time with the Son! And all will see the beauty of Christ in us. Meal Time Ask a kid: What is one thing I can do this week to help me grow closer to God?
