Moving On: ​Photo Project Pictures due: Friday, May 5, 2017
Dear 8th Grade Parents/Guardians,
Each year at Moving On, families submit photos of their 8th grader(s) to be included in a much
anticipated decorative display for the celebration. This letter explains which pictures are needed
and how to submit them.
PICTURES NEEDED​:​ ​Consider enlisting your child’s help in selecting the photos. Please be
aware that the photos will not be returned.
ONE (1) BABY PHOTO:​ of your child alone, preferably age 0 – 3, but toddler or
elementary-aged photo is fine.
ONE (1) TO THREE (3) CANDID PHOTOS: ​Group photos with friends from school are
the best. Photos should show your child in diverse activities or interests, e.g., 1st day of
school, Scouts, sports, dance, travelling, school field trips, school plays, Project
Adventure, family/friends candid pictures, etc.
YEARBOOK PHOTO​: If your child did ​not​ get one taken at JGMS, please provide us
with a 4” x 6” headshot (from the waist up) of your child. Write his/her name on the back
of the picture.
HOW TO SUBMIT PHOTOS​:​ ​If there is a group photo with other JGMS kids, please write their
names on the back. We will review all photos to ensure they are authorized.
Put photos in an envelope marked “Moving On Photo
Project” and:

Drop it off at the JGMS front office, in the box marked
for “Moving On Photo Project”,
Have your child give the envelope to his/her Advisory
Teacher for delivery to the front office,
Drop Off at Moving On Table at the DC Trip
Information Meeting (May 11th), or
Mail the envelope of pictures to Elaine Herzog, 12
