Great Ocean Road & Melbourne international flower show 11 Days / 10 Nights SUNDAY 26 MARCH – WEDNESDAY 5 APRIL 2017 $ 2400.00 per person twin share $ 720.00 single supplement Minimum numbers apply Day 1: Sunday (MT, L, D) Travelling down the South Coast we will have some morning tea and then continue on to Stanwell Park where we will travel over the $52 million cantilever bridge boasting spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. Lunch will be along the way. Arriving in Batemans Bay later this afternoon. Best Western Sunseeker Motor Inn – BATEMANS BAY Day 2: Monday (B, MT, L, D) Heading down the South Coast through to Narooma and on to Eden where we will be boarding the Cat Balou for a luncheon cruise and then heading towards Lakes Entrance arriving in the afternoon time for a walk on the waterfront at our overnight stop. Bellevue on the Lakes – LAKES ENTRANCE Day 3: Tuesday (B, MT, D) Today we head towards Melbourne, with a stop for morning tea and then on to lunch at Southbank ( at your own expense). Before a visit to Eureka Skydeck 297.3mtr high skyscraper the highest public vantage point in the Southern Hemisphere. This afternoon we have a stop at the well-known Queen Victoria markets also known affectionately as “Vic Markets” or Queen Vic”, these markets have been the heart and soul of Melbourne for more than a century. A historic landmark spread over two city blocks, it’s a vibrant, bustling inner-city market where you can shop for anything from fruit and vegetables to clothing and souvenirs. Hotel 115 – KEW Day 4: Wednesday (B, D) After a leisurely breakfast, this morning will be having some free time, for you to enjoy some of Melbourne’s attractions, ride a tram, visit one of many beautiful parks and gardens Melbourne has to offer or some shopping time and enjoy lunch (at your own expense) at one of the numerous cafés Melbourne is famous for. After lunch we will head down to Phillip Island famous for the little penguins and where we will visit a Chocolate Factory and the Koala Conservation Centre before having dinner at the Penguin Centre. See the little penguins make their way up to the burrows over the beach and visit the interpretive centre with many souvenirs and books for you to purchase. We will be getting back to the motel late this evening. Hotel 115 – KEW Day 5: Thursday (B, L, D) This morning is time for you to have a sleep in and have a relaxed breakfast before take a cruise along the Yarra River before heading off to the MCG better known as the “G” and the birthplace of Test Cricket and home of Australian Football for a tour. The lunch today will be in the Café and then there will be some time to have a look at the Sports Museum dedicated to Australian Sports. The Australian Sports Hall of Fame, The Australian Racing Museum and the Melbourne Cricket Club is located in the museum as well. We will be returning to the hotel early this afternoon with time for you to have a drink at the bar before dinner. Hotel 115 – KEW Day 6: Friday (B, D) A full day of exploring the brilliant Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, which is staged within the world heritage-listed Royal Exhibition Building and surrounding Carlton Gardens. Rated among the top five flower and garden shows in the world and the most prestigious event of its kind in Australia. There will be over 300 exhibits representing horticulture, nurseries, landscape gardening, floristry and cut flower products and services. See flower arranging, competition gardens and workshops. Visit the Melbourne Museum next door to see exhibits on Australian Society and Phar Lap, as well as the Forest Gallery, Mind and Body Gallery and Banjilaka (Aboriginal Centre). Lunch (will be at own expense) Later in the afternoon the coach will come back and collect you where we will head back to our accommodation with some free time to freshen up or get dressed up for our dinner on the Colonial Tram Car travelling the city streets of Melbourne dining on a 3 course Dinner and Australian wines. Hotel 115 – KEW Day 7: Saturday (B, L, D) Enjoy some time for a photo at Belgrave Station before boarding the famous “Puffing Billy” one of the most popular steam heritage railways in the world. Travel through the Dandenong Ranges to Lakeside where we will rejoin the coach and travel to the little country town of Olinda to enjoy lunch. This afternoon we will take a drive through the Dandenong’s to enjoy the spectacular views. Arriving back at the hotel in the afternoon to have that last drink in the microbrewery at the hotel. Hotel 115 – KEW Day 8: Sunday (B, MT, D) This morning we farewell Melbourne and travel down to Sorrento to join the ferry that will take us across the bay to Queenscliff. When we disembark the ferry where we you will have some time for lunch (will be at own expense) in Queenscliff before rejoining the coach and travelling to Geelong for our next two night stay. Arriving early afternoon with some time to take a walk and free time. Quality Hotel Bayside – GEELONG Day 9: Monday (B, MT, L, D) Today we will travel one of the world’s most scenic roads The Great Ocean Road home to the famous Apostles a stop for morning tea and lunch. With lots of opportunities for photos of spectacular scenery. We will then travel back to Geelong inland and through some of the most beautiful countryside of Victoria. Quality Hotel Bayside – GEELONG Day 10: Tuesday (B, MT, L, D) Following breakfast we will join the coach and head up the Hume Highway. We will stop and enjoy morning tea and lunch along the way before having a night at Gundagai. Arriving at the motel later in the afternoon we will have time to have a drink before enjoying our last dinner together reminiscing about the last 10 days of a memorable holiday Comfort Inn Sovereign – GUNDAGAI Day 11: Wednesday (B, MT, L) Our final day finds us travelling further up the Hume Highway to our final destination home after a great time away. Today we will have morning tea and lunch on the way home before arriving back into Newcastle in the afternoon. We accept cash, cheque, EFTPOS, direct credit or credit cards (MasterCard or Visa). Cancellation Policy Cancellation fees will be applied if you have to cancel your booking. If you cancel: 60 days or more prior to departure – Tour deposit is forfeited 31-59 days prior to departure – 50% of fare Within 30 days prior to departure – 100% of fare In the event we are able to transfer your booking to another passenger, the cancellation fee will be $200 tour deposit. Fares include Return economy airfare from Sydney to Norfolk Island flying Air New Zealand. Coach transfers to and from Sydney, motel accommodation, entrance fees and meals as stated in the itinerary. Alteration of Itinerary We reserve the right to alter itineraries without notice due to availability, weather, road conditions or any other reason we perceive to be in the best interests of our passengers. Seating and Seat Rotation Seating is rotated in a random order at the direction of the Coach Driver/Tour Director to ensure all passengers enjoy a variety of seating. Single Supplement Limited single supplement is available. Single supplement gives the passenger exclusive use of a motel room and is indicated by single supplement price on the itinerary. It does not guarantee sole seating on the coach. Smoking Government regulations prohibit smoking on all modes of transport.
