Can Ukraine Benefit From the Experience of Poland and Other Post-Communist Countries? Breaking with the communist past does not only imply introducing political pluralism and a market economy. The Euromaidan Revolution of Dignity has shown a strong need to break with the past in the symbolic sphere - to remove the monuments glorifying dictatorship, change names of cities, streets associated with the communist time as well as stigmatise and keep away from the public institutions all the people connected with the past system. What are the similarities and differences between Ukraine and other post-communist countries, which have already faced a similar problem?
