(Think of MacArthur and what his goal was when stations in Japan post-war) Know who were the two “superpowers” after WWII. Know about the United Nations. Goals? Formation? Origins? Know about early civil rights movements during and post War. Know about what countries remained under Soviet control post-war. Know about the Marshall Plan. Know what events began the conflict in Korea (1950) Know about MacArthur’s strategy for the counterattack against North Korea. How did the American public view MacArthur after President Truman fired him?
