May-June GA Newsletter
Topic: Get Moving in South Asia!
Fitness Concept: Girls Staying Fit 4 God's Mission Spiritually, Physically, Socially and Mentally
Memory Verse: Do your best to please God. Be a worker
who doesn't need to be ashamed. Teach the message of truth
correctly. - 2 Timothy 2:15 (NIrV)
Overview: The GAs will be learning about South Asia,
which covers 7 countries. Many people there do not have a
chance to learn to read. Many people are poor as well. They
do not have good jobs. As the GAs learn to get "Fit 4 God's
Mission" in South Asia, they will see through the eyes of a
Missionary family (Chuck and MacKenzie Jemmott and their
two sons) who live there. In addition, they will learn about disaster relief workers and how they help people in need.
GA Overnight Retreat
We were thrilled to have 33 girls attending the GA Retreat this
past weekend. Everyone had a great time!!!
The GAs who attended earned their "Missions Camp" badge.

8. Hinduism is the third largest religion in the world; they believe that there
are 330 million gods and do not know the one true God.
9. Islam is the second largest religion in the world; people who believe in
Islam are called Muslims. They follow the teachings of a man named
Mohammed (they believe he was a prophet). The Koran is a book they
obey and study. Muslims use the word "Allah" for their understanding of
God.
10. People in South Asia travel in amazing ways: bicycles, horse-drawn
carts, motorcycles, cars and more. Animals are mixed in with the traffic too.
Get Fit to Work for Jesus!
Spiritually Fit: Pray, study the Bible, and serve in your church. Understand that
Jesus loves you no matter what. Honor Him with your life.
Physically Fit: Exercise every day; exercise gets your muscles ready to work hard.
Socially Fit: Love people, no matter what! See others the way Jesus sees them.
This will help you understand what people need when they are hurting.
Mentally Fit: Learn all you can! Disaster relief workers need to be trained. They
use their knowledge to make good decisions as they serve others.
Thank You Parents
Our Children's Minister, Mr. Trey Wooton and GA Director, Bonnie Robbins
along with the other GA Leaders would like to take this opportunity to thank
you, "the parents", for all your help and support this year. It was truly a
blessing to teach and spend time with your daughter(s) every Wednesday
night. We hope they enjoyed this past year also.
