The MGR Award is given in recognition of Scientific Excellence and is open
to final year undergraduate students due to complete a degree course in 2017
which includes carrying out a short research project in the field of
pharmaceutical science.
Applicants should submit a 300 word abstract on their chosen project
by completing this application form and emailing it to:

Six finalists will be selected and invited to the
Mylan Global Respiratory Group (MGRG) site based in Sandwich, Kent
to present results from their research project.
The winner chosen by our panel will receive a prize of
shopping vouchers worth £1,000.
The other five finalists will each receive a prize of
shopping vouchers worth £250.
By applying for the Mylan Global Respiratory Award you are stating you have read and
acknowledged the competition terms and conditions at www.mylan.co.uk, that you satisfy the
eligibility criteria and have obtained all necessary permissions.
You are also confirming that you are available on 15th June 2017
if successful for an awards celebration in Sandwich, Kent.

Competition Terms and Conditions
Are you a final year student with a passion for pharmaceutical science? Do you have a great research
abstract? Would you like the chance to present your ideas to Mylan’s panel of experts? Enter our competition
for the chance to win up to £1,000 of shopping vouchers.
The competition is administered by Mylan Pharma UK Ltd a company located at Discovery Park House, Floor 3,
Ramsgate Road, Sandwich, Kent CT13 9NJ (and referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”).
By entering the competition you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Eligibility:
The competition is open to students who are enrolled on a course of undergraduate study in the United Kingdom
and are due to complete that course in the academic year 2016/17.
To enter the competition you must be at least 18 years of age and be a resident of the United Kingdom.
You must not be an employee of Mylan, a dependent of any employee of Mylan or anyone else connected with
Mylan or the competition.
You may only submit 1 entry. Only individual entries will be accepted. You may not enter the competition if your
research abstract involves anyone other than you.
Your entry must be your own original work, written in the English language, typed, double line-spaced with numbered
pages. All sources must be referenced using footnotes. Footnotes should include author, title of publication and
publisher if available, and date or internet URL where possible.
You retain all rights in your entry. You agree that we may use, copy, modify and reproduce your entry on our website
or any other media in connection with the competition.
Permission:
You are responsible for checking whether you need any approval from your university or institution before you
enter the competition and, if you do need approval, for ensuring you have that approval BEFORE you enter
the competition.
How to enter:
Submit your research abstract via the dedicated form on the competition website – www.mylan.co.uk.
You must submit your entry in accordance with the online instructions. Please make sure you keep a copy of
your entry – we will not return copies to you.
Your entry must include:
•
project title, introduction, aims, methods, results, discussion, conclusion and references;
•
your full name, email address and telephone number;
•
name of your institution;
•
year you commenced your course and year you plan to graduate; and
•
a PDF copy of your research abstract.
The closing date for entries is 23:59 on 31 March 2017.
By entering the competition, you agree that we can use any personal data (such as your name, address
and contact details) that you provide to us for the purpose of running and publicising the competition and
its winners. We will comply with all applicable data protection legislation in our use of the personal data
you provide to us.

Judging and Prizes:
Our judging panel will review each research abstract that complies with these terms and conditions. The panel will
then invite up to 6 selected finalists to present their abstract to us in person in Sandwich, Kent on 15 June 2017.
The decision of our judging panel is final and not subject to appeal.
1 winner chosen by our panel will receive a prize of shopping vouchers worth £1,000. The 5 other finalists will each
receive a shopping voucher worth £250.
If you win a prize, you agree to take part and cooperate as we require in any publicity and marketing we undertake in
relation to the competition including being interviewed and photographed. And you give us an unrestricted right to use
all such material for that purpose.
All shopping vouchers are subject to their terms and conditions of use which shall prevail over these terms and
conditions in the event of any conflict or inconsistency. There is no cash alternative.
We reserve the right to present no prizes or reduce the number of prizes if entries do not meet the required standard.
We also reserve the right to cancel or modify the competition (including changing the prizes) if the competition cannot
for any reason be conducted for reasons beyond our reasonable control.
We do not limit or exclude our liability to you for death or personal injury arising from our negligence or for our fraud.
But we are not otherwise responsible for any loss or damage you suffer in relation to the competition including any
failure by you to submit or by us to receive an entry.
