About the Cape Argus SportShow
The sprawling gardens of the picturesque
Sandringham near Stellenbosch is
the perfect setting for the Cape Argus
SportShow, South Africa’s first multi-sport
festival featuring spectacular entertainment,
sport clinics, extreme shows, appearances
by sport celebrities and an extensive range
of sport-related exhibits. This is the ideal
setting for a day out with the family! With the
promise of great weather at this time of year,
great food and drinks on offer and an
exciting entertainment programme with
loads of fun for the whole family, the Cape
Argus SportShow should not be missed!

LORDS OF GRAVITY - Acrobatic Slam Dunk Show
Live at the Cape Argus SportShow, The Lords of Gravity,
the world’s highest flying basketball dunk team, will wow
you with their insane acrobatics, spectacular teamwork
and jaw-dropping dunks! All the way from Hungary, this
team of slam-dunking gymnasts will elevate your pulse
in record time and get you psyched to try out your own
slick acrobatic moves.
HANLI PRINSLOO -
Free Dive and Breath Holding Demos
Free diving is the sport of holding your breath for as long, as far,
or as deep as possible… without any scuba equipment. Based on
age-old traditions of subsistence living off the sea, free diving today
is a high-profile competitive sport with world records, championships
and professional courses. South African Free dive record holder
and founder of I AM WATER Ocean Conservation, Hanli Prinsloo
and her team will be hosting exclusive in-water breath-hold
coaching sessions and demonstrations.
XTREME SPORT ARENA -
FMX Freestyle Shows with Nick de Wit
& other Local & International Riders
The Cape Argus SportShow welcomes Red Bull on board with one of
the top Red Bull X-Fighters, ‘Sick Nick’ de Wit who will show his style
in various action-packed performances. This is Nick at his best, with
top local and international riders in the FMX Freestyle shows.
BMX & SKATEBOARD PARK
The Cape Argus SportShow features the country’s most skilled
riders on BMX bikes, MTB bikes, trail bikes, scooters, rollerblades and skateboards in spectacular, non-stop, action-packed
shows that will thrill and amaze spectators. You will be keeping
your feet firmly on level ground as the best riders and skaters in
the industry strut their stuff in these thrilling events.
PAINTBALL COMPETITION -
SARPL Western Cape 5-man Event
& First Provincial Cup Event
Experience fast-paced action as you watch South Africa’s provincial paintball
teams showcase their skills in this adrenaline fuelled sport that has taken the world
by storm. Paintball is no longer just a pastime enjoyed by weekend warriors, or by
those attending the odd bachelor’s party. It has evolved into a highly strategic sport
that relies heavily on team work, agility, and skill to secure a win. The arena of this
