Inertsil® Ph3
Phenyl column offering strong pipi interactions
Phenylbonded phase provides pipi interactions occuring between Phenyl groups and analytes. Inertsil Ph
3 has Phenyl groups directly bonded to Silica gel whereas common phenyl columns have Phenylalkyl
groups bonded to Silica gel. Therefore, compared with common phenyl columns, the separation by Inertsil
Ph3 is based more strongly on pipi interactions.
InertSustain® Phenyl, another Phenyl column of GL Sciences, shows different selectivity as it has Phenyl
groups more densely on the Silica surface.
