Limitations and Recommendations
-
Area
Limitations/Recommendations
Login
Login into Avaya one-X® Mobile and Avaya one-X® Mobile SIP iOS
is working.
Limitation: If the Avaya one-X® Mobile client has a mobile
number configured then EC500 mapping for the same number
should not be created on the Avaya Aura® Communication
manager.
However if the Avaya one-X® Mobile client does not have a
mobile number configured or the configured mobile number is
different from the one that would be used for the SIP iOS client,
the EC500 mapping for the mobile number to be used for Avaya
one-X® SIP iOS should be created on the Avaya Aura®
Communication Manager.
Incoming Call Handling
Incoming call to a user logged in both Avaya one-X® Mobile SIP
iOS as well as Avaya one-X® Mobile client works fine with known
limitations.
Recommended Configuration –
If the user wants to use both the client for the same user logged
in simultaneously, the following configuration should be done on
the Avaya one-X® Mobile client –
1. Set Desk Phone Ringer as ON.
2. No Also ring number selected to ring (whenever the user is
logged in with Avaya one-X® Mobile SIP iOS client).
Limitation:
1. EC500 delay will not work – If the Avaya one-X® Mobile has a
mobile number configured and set to ring, then the user will
18
27 Mar 2015
Avaya one-X® Mobile SIP for iOS 6.2 SP7
receive two calls for every incoming call, one over SIP (VOIP) and
the other over cellular voice connection.
2. User will not get any incoming call alert on the Avaya one-X®
Mobile SIP iOS client, if the desk-phone is set for silent ringing.
Outgoing Call Handling
Outgoing call from a user logged in both Avaya one-X® Mobile SIP
iOS as well as Avaya one-X® Mobile client works fine when the
call is made from the Avaya one-X® Mobile SIP iOS client.
Callback call from the Avaya one-X® Mobile client using any of the
also ring numbers is supported.
Limitation:
Callback call from the Avaya one-X® Mobile client using Mobile
Sip iOS client as the desk-phone is not supported.
Mid Call Handling
The following mid call handling features are supported:
1. Hold
2. Resume
3. Transfer
4. Conference
AST Features
The following AST features are supported:

19
Block All Calls works from Avaya one-X® Mobile and Avaya one-X®
Mobile SIP iOS clients
27 Mar 2015
Avaya one-X® Mobile SIP for iOS 6.2 SP7

activated.
VIP Calling

Limitation:
Call Forward and Call Forward Busy will not function if the call
comes in from a non-VIP number.
