ORGANIC AND ORGANIC COMPLIANT INGREDIENTS

TIC GUMS offers products that are “100% Organic”, “Organic”, “Made with Organic” or Ingredient
List Only.”
100% Organic
This category of products must contain by weight (excluding water and salt), 100% organically
produced ingredients. A list of our organic ingredients can be found on pg. 2 below.
Organic (≥ 95% and < 100% Organic Ingredients)
This category of products must contain by weight (excluding water and salt) not less than 95%
organically produced ingredients. The remaining 5% of ingredients must be organically produced,
unless not commercially available in organic form, or must be ingredients approved by the NOP for
use in organic products (organic compliant). These include ingredients listed in 7 CFR § 205.605
and 7 CFR § 205.606. A list of our organic compliant ingredients can be found on pg. 2 below.
Products labeled as “Organic” must not include organic and nonorganic forms of the same
ingredient [7 CFR 205.301(f7)].
Made with Organic (≥ 70% and < 95% Organic Ingredients)
This category of products must contain by weight (excluding water and salt) at least 70% organically
produced ingredients. The remaining 30% of ingredients must be produced without excluded
methods (GMO’s), sewage sludge or ionizing radiation. Products labeled as “made with organic”
must not contain more than three organically produced ingredients.
Products labeled as “Made with Organic” may contain both organic and nonorganic forms of the
same ingredients, provided the ingredients are identified separately in the ingredient statement e.g.
organic guar, nonorganic guar.
Ingredient Listing (< 70% Organic Ingredients)
This category of products contains less than 70% organically produced ingredients by weight
(excluding water and salt).
