SPRING TERM 2015

Our congratulations must go to our football team who continue to put their all into each game they play and this is all we can
ask of them. At the moment they are mid-table in the league and have beaten schools much bigger than us. Well done to the
children who took part in the rugby competition on 17 March. Again they worked really hard and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The Netball team have been practising really hard and we are grateful to Mrs French and Mrs Kissock for working with
the children and providing this opportunity for them to play another sport. Ten of our children (5 girls, 5 boys) represented
the school at the Hyndburn Swimming Gala on 25 March . The children two of whom are in Year 3, “Did their best,” which is
all we ask of our children. Special congratulations must go to Lily Mae Gregg who got to the final of the Medley race and
came 2nd. Finally a big thank you must go to Emily and Isaac Ryan and their mum Rebecca for arranging a “Bag Packing
Session” on Saturday 23 May at ASDA. Representatives from St Mary’s can collect money (as they pack) for our Community
Defibrillator Project.
