Good Morning
Today is Monday
Our theme today is: Fall
Group time: We will start the morning off by taking attendance and reviewing the
calendar. The weather report will be done during this time. Today we will talk
about how there are many trees that stop making food in the fall to prepare for
winter. The green color (chlorophyll- is what makes the leaves green) then fades
away, and the red, orange, and yellow colors are seen. These colors have been
there all summer, but the green chlorophyll covered them up. The leaves have
already started to fall off the trees. Today, we will feed Mr. Shape Monster all the
beautiful fall color leaves.
Morning Center: Autumn Acorns: Number skills 1-10, Count & trace numbers
Art: Here’s a unique way to make a colorful fall tree! The children will get to use
their tiny fingers to make all the beautiful fall leaves.
Afternoon Center:
Center Fishing For Numbers! The students will cut out the fish on the
dotted lines; then paste each fish on the corresponding fishbowl to match the
numeral with the correct set.
Story: Falling Leaves
Finger play: Four Little Leaves.

Good Morning
Today is Wednesday
Our theme today is: Fall
Group time: Today we will continue to talk about things we see change. For
instance, there are a lot of animals that will hibernate or fly south for the winter.
The children may be surprised to learn that many kinds of ladybugs hibernate,
choosing areas under leaves and logs for their long seasonal snooze. We can’t
forget about math and our alphabet flash cards. The attendance, calendar and
weather will also be done this morning on the SMART Board.
Morning Center: The students will practice writing their first names.
Art: The children will be making snoozing ladybugs. The children will glue down one
end of a log pattern on a brown piece of construction paper. Next the children will
glue red construction paper circles under the flap to resemble lady bugs. They will
finish it off by decorating it with fall colored leaves.
Afternoon Center: “My Rebus Reader” Shhh… The Animals Are Sleeping!
Story: Hibernation
Have a great day and remember no school of Friday or next Monday. We will see
you again on Wednesday, November 13th.
