The boys finished in 5th place and the girls finished in 9th place. Top bowlers include Matthew Eagle who finished in 3rd place overall with a 708 series averaging 236 and Bri Martin who lead the ladies with a 535 series with a high game of 213. Great job Firebirds! 13 Why do those people wear orange horns? Why do they eat green pie? What is Homestuck??? To find out, come to today's Homestuck Club meeting after school in Room 133. 13 Math tutoring will again be offered this semester in the library. We will start this Wednesday evening, from 6-8. Next week, regular schedule begins. You will need a one to two minute MEMORIZED monologue. Everyone is invited-this is an awesome love story! Come and try out! Interested in tech? Come sign up on Tuesday as well! 15 Come share the first Art Club of the semester experience! Art Club will meet on Wednesday from 6-8 in Studio 106. 15 The Slam Poetry team will meet in Mr. Martin's room on Wednesday after school. We will set a date for Louder than a Bomb tryouts and then write for about 45 minutes. Hey Free State, it's a new month so that means a new theme for the photo cases. This month is winter pics! So if you've got a picture or two you would like to contribute just email them to Mr. Springer here at school or you can drop of a hard copy in the envelop outside room 254. Just make sure you put your name on it so it can be returned. 16 Hey Firebirds, the Renaissance Committee is pleased to announce that January is Security appreciation month. So if you see security personnel in the building be sure to thank them for all they do to keep our building running smoothly. 30 FYI: Kansas regulations require that districts develop and implement written policies to govern the use of Emergency Safety Interventions in all schools.~ Emergency Safety Intervention (ESI) is defined as seclusion and restraint that is used when the student presents an immediate danger to self or others.~ Lawrence Public School’s Board of Education adopted an ESI policy on October 28, 2013.
