WMSTR Board Meeting
January 21st
8am Fargo

President Mark K Called the meeting to order at 8:00am.
2.
Approval/Changes to the agenda. Pete made a motion to approve the agenda; Yancy
seconded the motion. Motion carried
3.
Approval/Corrections to the minutes. Pete made a motion to approve the minutes; Colin
second the motion. Motion carried.
4.
Treasurer’s report. Curt made a motion to approve the report; Ned seconded the motion.
Motion Carried.
5.
Hawley golden riders. Hawley golden riders explained a bill we had received for plumbing and
supplies. They explained that they would be paying that bill. They gave a status update on their
bathroom/shower house project.
6.
Jim Briden gave an update on equipment repairs.
7.
Corporate structure – do we update? Committee lists should also be updated at the same time.
Gary to come up with 10 key areas for the next meeting. Eileen to bring copies for next meeting. We
need to simplify the list.
8.
We discussed the new golf cart fee. It was mentioned that we are not forcing anyone to bring a
golf cart, if they do not want to pay the fee, then they can leave their golf cart at home and take the
shuttle wagons we provide. The question was asked if garden tractors count as needing a permit?
They should be considered as a special vehicle.
9.
WMSTR Forms were looked at and changes suggested. Tim Dachtera to change forms, Eileen
to bring forms back for a show and tell before they go on the website. It was also noted that the
donation form should be updated.
10.
Yancy made the motion to make Gaar Scott the official feature of 2013 and tie in the 60th
anniversary of WMSTR. Pete seconded the motion. Motion Carried. Gaar Scott will be the Feature
for the 2013 show.

IH merchandise, Eileen has contacted IH about the use of logos. They will not allow us the use
of a logo. But they have put Eileen in contact with a place that is licensed to produce IH merchandise.
They will work with WMSTR and incorporate the WMSTR logo into the IH merchandise and will sell to
us at wholesale price. Eileen asked if we felt we were worried about not using a place to make our
merchandise if they were not licensed. Eileen explained that IH said if a place was to sell unlicensed
merchandise, If Case found out, they could come in and tell them to stop selling it, and there could be
a lawsuit to follow if they felt so inclined. It was the consensus of the group that we need to do things
the right way. Eileen is to find out if current suppliers are licensed to use IH logos.
13.
Fuel truck – Pat Dowling owns it and now he wants to sell it for $1500 (new seat and
accessories to go with it) he has title. Collin will look into the lead he has on a different fuel truck.
Tabled till next month.
14.
Big Iron booth – Do we rent the booth again this year? Pete made the motion that we pay the
$400 to have a booth at Big Iron, Curt Seconded the motion. Motion carried.
15.
Next Board meeting date was discussed. It will be February 18th (Saturday) and it will start at
8am. Location to be determined. One of the main topics of discussion will be Camping. Eileen to
invite the WMSTR Campground Mayors to attend.
16.
It was noted that big projects should have a member of the board or someone close to the
board champion the project or be in direct contact with the project. So things don’t get
miscommunicated, and extra costs incurred.
17.
Pete made a motion to adjourn the meeting; Louie seconded that motion to adjourn. Motion
carried. Mark adjourned the meeting 11:54am.
