WHEN YOU FALL DOWN, GET BACK UP
All things
concerning MYC
this month.
Get connected.
Allyson here! When Nathan asked me to
write something for the Connect, my first
question to him was, “Well, what do you
If nobody did we would still be in the Garden
of Eden. We are all human, and humans do
sin. But, I have learned that the only thing I
he wants us to feel that way. But God, he
wants us to forgive ourselves the way he
forgave us. Sometimes I forget that when
want me to write about?” To my surprise he
said, “Anything!” Let me tell you, easier said
than done. I took into consideration many
different ideas, should I write about New
Year Resolutions? No, too cliché. I finally
can do when I mess up or fall is ask God for
his forgiveness, pray for wisdom, forgive
myself, and get back up again.
It’s a humbling experience really. After
all, I can’t serve God if I have fallen on the
God tells us to forgive others that it includes
ourselves.
Don’t let Satan keep you down. When
you fall get back up and please God. Learn
from your mistakes, be humbled by them,
came to the conclusion to pray about it. I
decided to write about something that I have
learned in my walk with God.
So, here is what I came up with: when
you fall down, get back up.
ground and just stay there. I would be an
incapable servant, and that’s what Satan
wants. So if you hate sin and what it does to
the people you love, rebel against Satan and
the things of this world that are of sin, not
rebel against Satan and keep serving the
Lord in all ways possible. Don’t let your sins
dwell in your thoughts, and don’t forget to
love God in all ways possible so that when
you fall again you will get back up. Once again, it is easier said than done.
There will be people that try to pull you down
whether they are your biggest enemy or your
greatest friend.
In class we have been talking about the
God.
God loves us and only wants the best
for us, and we all should know that
considering he sent his only son to die for
our sins. Some people focus on their biggest
verse in Matthew when Jesus says, “Love
the Lord your God with all your heart and
with all your soul and with all your mind.”
Well, Jesus was absolutely right,
as always, when he said this is
mistake and let it define them, making them
feel unworthy or not good enough to serve
God. That is Satan lingering in your thoughts;
the greatest commandment.
Especially when you realize that if
you love God enough you will do
everything in your strength not to
hurt him, everything in your mind
to learn and teach about him,
everything in your heart to love
people for him, and everything in
your soul to strive to please him.
With this commandment if
you fall down you will be able to
get back up.
Proverbs 24:16 states, “A
righteous person may fall seven
times, but he gets up again.
However, in a disaster wicked
people fall.” Do not let Satan
keep you down. Everybody
falls, everybody makes mistakes.
The
Retreat
Crew
“Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body,
arm yourselves also with the same attitude,
because he who has suffered in his body is
done with sin. As a result, he does not live
the rest of his earthly life for evil human
desires, but rather for the will of God.”
