About Java Junction
Java Junction is a family owned and operated coffee and juice shop in Santa Cruz. JJ has been a staple of coffee
lovers in Santa Cruz for 20 years and continues to improve itself to better serve the needs of coffee lovers everywhere.
We specialize in roasting and serving the highest quality organic coffees and espresso beans we can find. The
flagship store is located on Seabright Avenue. Seven years later the River Street store was opened. In addition to the
store front locations, there is the wholesale roasting side of the business, we offer a wide variety of hand roasted
specialty organic coffees.
About The Owners
Java Junction is a local Santa Cruz family-owned and operated coffee and juice shop that started in 1992 by Michael
and Karen Spadafora. The goal was to provide an excellent cup of high quality coffee.
About The Roasting
Java Junction is a small batch roaster, roasting weekly at our roasting facility located off Soquel Avenue. Our
Roastmaster and Owner have a combined 30 years experience perfecting the art of coffee roasting. Being a small
batch roaster means we can meticulously control the roasting process, which provides the highest quality bean to you.
We have spent years perfecting the art of using our experience, senses, intuition and knowledge to make adjustments
and take the coffee where it needs to go. We use Fair Trade, Organic, Shade Grown, and Bird Friendly coffees
whenever possible. This is a way of saying thank you to the planet and the workers for producing it.
