“Morsko Konche” National Children’s Chess Federation, “Veselin Topalov 2006” Chess Club,
and Varna Municipality are inviting school or club chess teams to participate in the “First Cup
for School Chess Teams” tournament which will take place in Hotel „Koral“**** from 10 till
16 July, 2017.
1. PARTICIPATION
1.1. Participation is allowed for unlimited number of school/club chess teams in each of the
categories.
1.2. Every team consists of four competitors plus 1 reserve.
1.3. Each team has one delegation leader (coach/teacher).
1.4. The right to participate have competitors (boys and girls) as follows:
U8 born after 1 January 2009
U10 born after 1 January 2007
U12 born after 1 January 2005
U14 born after 1 January 2003
U16 born after 1 January 2001

3. REGISTRATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
3.1. The Registration form is filled in by the Town or School/Club administration and sent by
e-mail to the Organizing Committee until 15th April, 2017.
3.2. Along with the Registration form should also be sent current colourful photographs of the
participants and brief information about the team.
4. SYSTEM OF HOLDING
4.1. Tournaments are carried out by the Swiss system in 7 rounds. The FIDE rules are
followed. The game control is 90 minutes for a competitor until the end of the party plus 30
seconds per move.
4.2. The tournament is registered in FIDE and is valid for qualifications.
5.ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD
Accommodation and food for participants and accompanying persons will be provided in the
official tournament hotels “Koral“ and the House of Scientists.

6. FINANCIAL TERMS
6.1. Each team shall pay registration participation fee of 200 lv. (BGN)
6.2. Transport costs (if needed) from the airport train station / bus station to and back from the
hotel are 100 lv. for a team of 4 competitors plus 25 lv. for the reserve and 30 lv. for the
leader or accompanying person.
6.3. The above mounts for registration fee plus 50% from the total amount for
accommodation and food must be deposited along with the bank fees on the account of the
payer until 25th May 2017 to the following bank account:

6.4. Teams accommodated outside of the official hotels shall pay additional 50% on the basic
registration fee.
7. AWARDS
7.1. The Winner team in each age group is given the title Holder of the First Cup of School
Chess Teams for the year 2017 and the right to participate in the Second European cup in
2018 without tournament fee.
7.2. Teams that have won first, second, and third place receive cups, the competitors – gold,
silver or bronze medals and certificates.
