MP Lighting finished in sixth place—out of a total of
71 ads—in LD+A’s Advertiser Study for the May 2010
Issue! Our L141 print ad scored extremely well with 205
points.
The study was conducted by an independent research
company, Harvey Research Ad-Q studies. It measured
the overall effectiveness of an advertisement’s size,
color, copy, graphical quality, and strategic approach.
MP Lighting achieved a significant nine point increase
between the percentage of “all readers” who recall
seeing/ reading the ad and the percentage of “readers
who buy/specify” the advertised product.
This demonstrates that our ad is reaching readers in
our target audience, specifically those who have buying
influence over the products being advertised.
The ad was perfected by input from Mirek, Blair, Bruce
Patterson, etc.
To learn more about this study, please contact Elain or
Aleisha. Or to check out more MP print ads, visit the MP
Lighting Library located at Reception!

together towards a common goal–
something we can all benefit from.
The goal of this publication is to keep

In the Workplace:
Health Tips for the Cold & Flu Season
With the fall and winter weather fast approaching, we all need to take steps to ensure we stay healthy in the upcoming
months. Our bodies are more prone to illness during seasonal transitions as we experience changes in the climate and
environment around us. Below are a few tips to help prevent the common cold and flu (courtesy of the CDC – Center for
Disease Control and Prevention):
1) Wash your Hands – wash hands frequently with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds.
Use an alcohol based hand-sanitizer when soap and water are not available.
2) Grab a Tissue – cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze and
throw the tissue away to prevent the spread of germs. If necessary, cough into your elbow or
sleeve, not your hands!
3) Drink Hot Fluids – drink plenty of hot fluids to help kill bacteria and viruses that reside in your
throat. You can also gargle with mouthwash twice daily to achieve the same effect.
4) Get the Shot – visit your local health care provider to receive the flu vaccination.
5) Stay Home – If you’re sick, please stay home to rest. You’ll only be spreading germs to coworkers and lengthening the time it takes to recover by coming to work.
