New Chief Commercial Officer in Maersk Supply Service

New CCO in Maersk Supply Service
Carsten Gram Haagensen, Head of Strategic Account Management in Maersk Drilling, has been
appointed Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Maersk Supply Service. The current CCO, Søren
Karas, will leave Maersk Supply Service and the A.P. Møller Maersk Group.
As of 1 December 2016 Carsten Gram Haagensen will be CCO of Maersk Supply Service, replacing
CCO Søren Karas. Carsten Gram Haagensen brings with him great insight into the oil and gas industry
as well as extensive experience with strategic account management, customer centricity and
pipeline development and management.

development. During his time with Maersk Drilling, Carsten has been instrumental in building close
customer relationships and delivering growth opportunities and contract coverage for the company

Carsten’s experience in the years to come”, says CEO Jørn Madsen.
After mutual agreement, Søren Karas will be leaving his position as CCO in Maersk Supply Service
after two years with the company.

wider Group during his 24-years long tenure. Søren has been leading the commercial department in
very challenging times, where the industry as a whole has been severely impacted by the general
market downturn. Among other things, Søren has successfully enhanced and executed on our
strategic ambition of offering our customers new innovative solutions and thereby securing revenue
with our existing assets in a difficult market,” says CEO Jørn Madsen.
Carsten joined Maersk in 2006 and has held numerous positions in the company including, Business
Development Manager, Commercial Asset Manager, Commercial Director and currently as Head of
Strategic Account Management. Before his tenure in Drilling, Carsten worked briefly in both Damco
and Maersk Line. Carsten holds a Business Administration Degree from Copenhagen Business School
supplemented with management courses from IMD and Harvard Business School.
As CCO Carsten Gram Haagensen will report directly to CEO Steen S. Karstensen and be a member of
the Senior Management Team in Maersk Supply Service
